Sheila Wienke and her family are taking their fundraising efforts to adopt four sibling children from Colombia to a whole new level. Featuring Christian musician Peder Eide, the Wienkes will be hosting an all-proceeds fundraising concert taking place on Saturday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wausau Alliance Center.

Our family of eight is expanding to a dozen. We are on a journey to bring four siblings from Colombia, South America into our family forever through adoption. You can partner with us by joining us for this Concert Event. Pie & Ice Cream Social will begin @6:30pm. Concert Event, featuring Peder Eide, will follow. Bring the family. Bring your youth group. Bring a friend.

Extravagant Love is bringing a Family together.

Blessings,

The Wienkes

Sheila has been working diligently to provide the funding necessary to facilitate the newcomers to the family. In mid-June, Wienke held her “Rummage for a Reason” garage sale, another benefit with all sales going towards the adoption process. The family was able to raise over $1,600 from the weekend sale.

The estimated cost of the adoption process is nearly $50,000. Wienke has experience adopting on such an impactful and international level having previously taken in three children from Ethiopia. After speaking with Sheila during her rummage sale event, she said the family would like to have their four Colombian adoptees home by the end of this year.

For those interested in attending the concert event, tickets and purchasing information can be found online at www.wausaualliance.org/connect/event-registration. The Wausau Alliance Church is located on 2125 Franklin Street in Wausau, which also constitutes Hwy Z entering the city from the east.
