Antigo Police and Langlade Co Sheriff Reports for 10/3/16
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, September 19th
4:04 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 5th Avenue. The female driver was cited for littering.
11:03 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Clermont Street reporting that they sent an employee to Langlade hospital for a drug test and they requested an officers stop for some drugs that were found in the employee’s locker. The male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and other medication.
1:09 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Neva Road and Mendlik Avenue. Vehicle two was in traffic southbound on Neva Rad in the inside lane, behind several vehicles waiting for the lead vehicle to turn left. Vehicle one came up behind vehicle two, hit the brakes and slid into vehicle two. There was no damage to vehicle one. The driver of vehicle two hit her head on the head rest and was transported by ambulance to the emergency room. The male driver of vehicle one was cited for operating while suspended and for having no insurance.
1:45 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting that her neighbor was blasting his music. She stated that she also reported this a week earlier. Officers spoke with the male subject who was playing video games. He was warned to keep the volume down.
5:01 PM Officers received a call from a female subject on Weed Street reporting that she believed that last Thursday night her Tom Tom GPS was taken from the front seat of her car while it was parked in her driveway. Officers were investigating.
6:09 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Langlade Road and Flight Road. The driver was cited for operating without a license, 2nd offense and for speed.
6:17 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report and arrested a subject on Fulton Street on three Langlade Sheriff’s Office warrants for failure to pay a fine for parking where prohibited. The subject was transported to Corrections.
Tuesday, September 20th
1:43 AM Officers responded to an area business on Memory Lane reporting that a female guest took the master key and had entered rooms. Officers removed the female subject. Officers warned her that if she ever returned she would be cited or arrested for trespassing.
7:42 AM Officers stopped a vehicle 8th Avenue and Sunset Drive. The driver was given a written warning for speed.
3:02 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a multi-vehicle accident in front of another area business on Neva Road. The caller did not think that anyone was hurt. Vehicle one was going south on Neva Road. Vehicle two was going north on Neva Road. Vehicle two turned in front of vehicle one, failing to yield the right of way. Vehicle two hit vehicle one. Vehicle two then hit vehicle three. Officers requested an ambulance upon their arrival. Vehicles were towed. A state report was completed.
3:05 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in front of an area business on Hwy. 45. Very minor damage. A voluntary report was completed.
Wednesday, September 21st
9:56 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business reporting that one of their drivers saw a woman driving a black Pontiac Grand Prix on Superior Street with a small child in the front seat that should have been in the back. The woman was also texting and was all over the road. The vehicle was westbound on 3rd Avenue about 5 minutes prior to call. Officers were unable to locate.
2:30 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that more garbage was being dumped there. They found a name on some items. The caller gave officers the name. Officers left a message on the female subject’s phone.
7:30 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that her mother hit a female pedestrian with the passenger side mirror of her car on Neva Road. The pedestrian was described as an African American in her 20’s to early 30’s wearing dark red clothing. The caller stated that her mother did not see the female until it was too late. The female pedestrian stated that she was ok and that no one needed to be called. Officers were unable to locate the female who left prior to their arrival.
9:16 PM Officers responded to information they received that a male subject with a warrant was at a residence on Wausau Road. The male subject was arrested on the warrant. He was also charged with resisting and felony bail jumping. A second female subject was arrested for possession of meth.
11:52 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for failure to transfer the title.
Thursday, September 22nd
6:03 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The driver was cited for speed.
4:46 PM Officers received a call from a female subject on Deleglise Street reporting that a male subject went flying by her house that day. She had children and was concerned that one of them could get hit. The caller stated that this was the 4th time this week that the male subject went by traveling about 35 mph. The caller stated that he was driving a small blue truck. Officers were advised.
Friday, September 23rd
8:26 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at E. 8th Avenue and Park Street. The driver was cited for speed and given an education pamphlet. They were also given a warning for expired registration.
10:26 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male subject reporting that a grey Chevy Silverado with blue barrels in the back was all over the road on Neva Road and was headed northbound from the lights at Century Avenue. Squads were advised but unable to locate the vehicle.
11:21 AM Officers responded to a call from the middle school reporting a traffic complaint about a parent of one of their students while picking up their child from school. They stated that the female subject did not stop at a stop sign and made rolling stops when dropping off and picking up their child. Officers spoke with the female subject. She was talking fast and was very animated. She denied that her car was moving when children were entering or exiting the car. She also denied any illegal drug use. Officers warned her about her driving habits.
12:37 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Clermont Street reporting that her neighbor’s cats were always pooping in her yard. She also stated that the kittens were recently in the rafters of her garage and now one of them just crawled into her house through the screen door. Officers spoke with a male subject. He was warned that the cats needed to stay on their yard or they would be cited.
12:45 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on 5th Avenue reporting a minor accident in their parking lot. Property damage only. A non-reportable accident report was completed.
2:02 PM Officers received an anonymous complaint about a male subject on Dorr Street that had two small dogs that he has let run loose in the street and they have chased people walking by. Officers talked with the dog’s owner and advised him of the complaint.
3:06 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident at Neve Road and Century Avenue. A state report was completed.
3:39 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Badger Avenue reporting that her daughter was outside and a mangy fox walked right up to her. The fox was dispatched by officers.
7:42 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he observed four boys on BMX bikes throwing rocks at vehicles driving by on Superior Street. Officers were unable to locate them.
8:48 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on 5th Avenue reporting that an intoxicated male subject left without paying for his food. He was described as wearing tan shorts with a black fleece. He had facial hair. Officers were unable to locate the male subject.
Saturday, September 24th
10:24 AM Officers responded to a minor accident at some stop and go lights on Hwy. 64. Property damage only.
4:38 PM Officers responded to a minor two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street. Property damage only.
5:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Birch Street. The driver was cited for speed and an educational pamphlet was issued.
8:14 PM Officers responded to a report of an infant sitting in a car alone in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Officers later located the female subject. She was warned by officers. She told officers that she would not do it again. A copy of the report was sent to the Department of Social Services.
10:52 PM Officers received a call from a male subject on Towne Drive reporting that cars were doing burnouts by his yard and there were marks up by his garage. The only description that the caller could give officers was the car was maybe a light colored import vehicle with a loud exhaust.
Sunday, September 25th
1:13 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 10th Avenue. The driver was cited for suspended registration and was arrested on a Langlade County warrant for failure to pay a fine for parking where prohibited.
9:57 AM Officers received a call from the owner of an area business on Edison Street reporting that a suspicious person was hanging around for the past couple of days. He told officers that other people had told him that the male subject looked like someone involved in an area break-in. He requested an extra patrol by officers.
5:10 PM Officers responded to a report of a dog barking for about an hour again at a residence on Fred Street. Officers warned the male subject who owned the dog. The dog was taken inside.
Monday, September 26th
4:44 AM Officers at an area business on Edison Street found an open door. Everything appeared ok.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, September 22nd
7:43 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Bissell Street in White Lake reporting that a vehicle struck their business sign. Officers issued the male driver a citation for non-registration.
Friday, September 23rd
1:00 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that he had written a check to a business in Dallas, Texas. The check was then duplicated numerous times and re-issued for $17,000 in fraudulent charges. Officers were investigating.
2:02 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting trespassing on his grandfather’s property on Cty. Rd. S. He reported that a trail camera was missing from one of the trees about 100 yards into the field. The caller’s tree stand was moved and another tree stand was put up and was chained to a tree. There were tracks going around the gate for the pasture. The caller also told officers that another family member saw a black truck parked in the driveway last weekend. They had thought that it was the caller’s truck. The camera was valued at about $100.
Saturday, September 24th
9:04 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 55 and Cty. Rd. DD. The male driver was issued a citation for speed. Alcohol was confiscated from the vehicle and he was warned about carrying a concealed weapon.
Sunday, September 25th
2:44 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. N. Officers arrested a female subject for operating without a license and arrested a male subject for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and possession of cocaine.
7:29 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Cty. Rd. Y reporting that someone struck his mailbox and drove through his yard the night before. The caller stated that he heard a bunch of noise at about 3:00 AM and said that the vehicle had a loud exhaust. No identifying parts were left behind. It appeared that the vehicle had been a truck with thicker lug tires. It should have had front end damage. The male subject said that he heard it happen and the vehicle returned a short time later, but he could not identify it.
12:47 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that he rolled his truck on Hwy. 55. The caller had contacted a wrecker. A state report was filed.
Monday, September 26th
10:49 AM Officers received a call from a female subject reporting that she had picked up her methadone on Saturday and discovered the next day that her Sunday dose was missing. She had called the clinic to report the missing medication. She was advised that she would need to come to the Sheriff’s office to make a statement.
Tuesday, September 27th
7:53 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Neva Lake Road reporting that her mailbox was hit the night before by an unknown vehicle. The mailbox landed 10-15 feet away from the post. The caller did not hear it happen. There was no paint transfer or any parts left behind.
10:16 AM Officers received a call from a male subject on Lakeside Street reporting that five four foot sections of his ladder stand were taken from the side of his garage within the last two weeks. The brand name was TMA. The whole set was valued at $400. The caller noticed that they were missing last week, but since he was in the process of moving, the thought that he may have already moved them with some other things. He told officers that he still had two sections of the ladder if they wanted to take some photos. Officers were still in the process of trying to get a photo.
1:47 PM Officers responded to a call from a female employee of an area business on Hwy. 55 in Pearson reporting a suspicious male subject that had been in the business six times that day while she was working. She gave officers a list of items that the male subject bought during his six trips. He was described as wearing an orange t-shirt on backwards and a sock on his arm. He was driving a white Ford Ranger. The caller gave officers the license plate number. She was concerned for her safety when opening up the business at 5:30 AM. Officers sent a teletype to Marinette County about the male subject. They responded that the male subject had some mental health issues and was very unstable. Officers advised the female caller of this information and told her that they would try to have a deputy there at 5:30 AM.
7:55 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report the theft of over 100, 10mg pills of oxycodone or oxycontin from his residence on Gruenberg Road. The prescription was last filled on the 15th. The male subject also stated that $40 in cash was missing from another room in the house. He said that on Friday, September 23rd someone stole all but 10 of his pills. He also told officers that his room was all messed up. He didn’t notice this until the morning to the 24th. He had tried to get a refill for the pills from the doctor, but was told that the doctor would not fill it unless he reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Department. Officers asked the male subject why he waited so long to report it. He said that he didn’t think about it. The male subject gave officers the name of one possible suspect.
