Tuesday Run Club will be meeting every Tuesday at Health & Performance Center (Aspirus Hospital) at 5:15pm for a run. The running club is intended to be an opportunity to run with others. The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months – 18 years of age if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents and children to do together. Langlade County Ice Age Trail Chapter Hike October 1st 9am-3pm Langlade County Fairgrounds – County Forestry Office, 1633 Neva Road, Antigo. Transportation to the trailhead northwest of Antigo will be provided from the fairgrounds. The hike will be a 5 mile trek of the segment from the County Trunk T trailhead to the old truck site and return. A dedication of an interpretative marker about the old truck, crafted by Don Belanger and installed by Lee Auner, will be held at the site of the former trail landmark. The outing will also serve as the local annual observation of the federal act creating the National Trails System. Participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothing and bring a lunch. Zoo Boo & Fall Fun October 1st & 2nd 10am-2pm It’s All Good Farmstand & Petting Zoo, Hwy 45, Antigo. Come join It’s All Good Farmstand & Petting Zoo for some Halloween fun. We have a ton of fun planned, including our pumpkin patch – pick your own pumpkin (or pre-picked available), decorating activities, a super fun Trick-or-Treat kid-friendly corn maze for the little ones, so bring your goodie bag! Wear your costumes and enjoy the Halloween spirit all throughout the month of October. Our friendly staff will also be dressed up, our petting zoo will be open as long as the weather permits, and we’ll have plenty of Halloween-themed games for you to play as well. Cowboy Reenactment October 1st Camp 5 Museum, 5068 U.S. Hwy. 8, Laona. Step back in time & come take part in a Wild West train robbery. An authentic Cowboy Reenactment & robbery of the Lumberjack Steam train. Come and ride the train and experience the Wild West up close. The group of cowboy re-enactors, known as the Green Bush-Wackers, portray, in authentic period costumes, characters such as cowboys, bandits, a preacher, mountain men and card sharks. In addition to the train robbery, the group will form a posse that will bring the bandits to justice…or justice will be brought to the bandits! The entire family will be thrilled to experience this exciting and interactive performance. It is highly recommended that tickets be purchased ahead of time for this event.
