Geraldine Domke, age 84, died Saturday September 3, 2016 at AGI Crandon Nursing Home under the care of Ministry Comfort Care Hospice.
Gerry was born on December 21, 1931 to the late Fred and Elsie (Graves) Higgins.
She married Roy Domke on June 24, 1956. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1986.
Gerry was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1949. In her early years she worked at her mother’s restaurant, Ma & Gerry’s. She later worked for Langlade County Farmers Co-op.
Gerry was a talented ceramic artist. She taught ceramic classes and also crafted the Tater Trot trophies for many years. She was a member of a local homemakers club. She was also in a bowling league.
She was active in her church, Faith United Church of Christ, where she assisted with funeral dinners and the Christmas Bazar.
Survivors include a son Gary (Peg) Domke of Antigo, 2 grandsons, Jeremy (Yvonne) Domke and Adam (Katherine Maney) Domke, a great grandson Eric Domke, 3 step great grandchildren, Trevor, Alexis and Kyle, and a step great great grandchild, Tyra.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Carol Higgins, a sister-in-law, Jean Flayter, 2 brother-in- laws, Lester and Ralph Domke.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 PM at Elmwood Cemetery.
Reverend Wes Jedras will officiate.
