Harold G. Seis, 92

Harold G. Seis, of Antigo, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 92 years old. He was born on June 18, 1924 in Antigo, a son of the late John and Mary (Rettinger) Seis. He married Mary Matuszewski on October 11, 1947 at St. Hyacinth Church. She survives.

He graduated from Antigo High School in 1942. Mr. Seis served in the United States Army and was a Bronze Star recipient.

Harold was a lifelong dairy farmer, taking over his parents farm in the town of Rolling. He was also employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory Company and Vulcan Corporation.

He was a member of the Leland Tollefson Veterans of Foreign War Post 2653, Antigo.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed sitting in the garage with a beer watching the traffic on Hwy 45, taking drives through the country, bowling and was an avid football fan.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary of Antigo; two daughters, Connie (John) Zeidler of Ringle and Linda (Terry) Leffel of Antigo; a son, Dennis (Lori) Seis of Antigo; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Stacy) Orgeman, Kerri Lyn Oregman, Nathan (Ashly) Schmidt all of Antigo, TJ Zeidler and Mark Zeidler both of Ringle, Becki Zeidler of Schofield and Melissa Seis of Antigo; six great-grandchildren, Jordan Orgeman of Jacksonville, FL, Reese Zeidler of Ringle, Zoe and Holly Orgeman of Antigo, Conway and Aspen Schmidt of Antigo.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Seis; two sisters, Lorraine Seis and Genevieve Cheslak; and two brothers, Ervin Seis and Frank Seis.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in the Queen of Peace Cemetery where Antigo veterans will conduct military honors. Visitation will be Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A parish wake service will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
