Kenneth B. Burns, of Elcho, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He was 66 years old. He was born on October 2, 1949 in Milwaukee, a son of Robert and Katherine (Durand) Burns.

He served in the United States Navy from March 2, 1968 to October 7, 1969.

Following military service he returned to Milwaukee where he worked for Rexnord as a metallurgist. He moved to Elcho in 1994 and worked at Rhinelander Door for several years.

He was a member of the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Post 377 Elcho and the Crandon Masonic Lodge 287 Free and Accepted Masons.

Survivors include two sons, Jay (Lisa) Burns of Muskego, Timothy Brendelson of Milwaukee; a daughter, Tammy (Gym) Rose of Colgate; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12 – 1:30 p.m. on Friday September 30, 2016 at the Bradley Funeral Home. Elcho veterans will stand honor guard from 12:45 – 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home followed by military salute, patriotic service and sharing of memories.

Burial will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, near Union Grove at 10 a.m. on Friday October 7, 2016.
