AHS band takes 4th in Class A at state, final performance this Friday

The Antigo High School Marching Band recently participated in the WSMA State High School Marching Band Championships. The state championships were held on October 15th at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater’s Perkins Stadium.
The AHS band placed 4th in class A performing their 2016 production, “The True Hereos of Iwo Jima.”
“The members certainly had the their strongest performance of the the year and they left everything on the field as a tribute to what this show is about and all the hard work they put in,” director Jeff Dewey said.
The band’s production was based on the the book “Flags of Our Fathers” by James Bradley about his father John Bradley. John Bradley was and original Iwo Jima Flag Raiser and both John and James were from Antigo.
The band will perform their 2016 production one last time at the WIAA Red Robin football playoff game on Friday.
