Warrant of the Week:
The Antigo Police Department holds a warrant for Cory J. Fazekas d.o.b 11-03-92. Fazekas is wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and is on probation for second degree sexual assault of a child. The warrant is valid as of October 7th. Cell phones in work zones:
As of October 1st 2016, it is now illegal to talk on a cellphone while driving through a work zone. Violators may be fined between $40 and $100 dollars for the offense. Hands free and Bluetooth devices are exempt and legal to use while traveling through the work zone, but please use these devices carefully. Some of the devices still require the driver to take their eyes off of the road for a brief moment. The law also exempts drivers who are using a cellphone to dial 911 for emergencies. Texting is still illegal while driving anywhere in Wisconsin and not tolerated. And as always, fines are still doubled in work zones so please drive slowly and responsibly while driving in any type of work zone.
