Charles I. Guile, 78
Charles I. Guile, age 78, of Antigo, died Sunday at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.
Chuck was born on January 18, 1938 in Manito, IL to the late Frederick and Elmira (DeBoer) Guile.
On November 14, 1959 he was united in marriage to Beverly A. Ayers at Peace Lutheran Church.
Chuck served in the US Air Force and was stationed here in Antigo. Following his service in the Air Force, he was employed at Wisconsin Bridge and Iron and later worked at Amron Corporation until his retirement in 2002.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed sports, especially the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Beverly, include a daughter, Rhonda Guile of Antigo and a son Jeff (Heidi) Guile of Antigo, 3 grandchildren, Craig Guile, Brittney (Scott) Fassbender, BreAnna (fiancé Matt) Zaverousky, 2 great grandchildren, Aidan Guile and Luella Fassbender, and a sister, Helen (Allen “Butch”) Armentrout of North Pekin, IL.
Chuck was preceded in death by 3 brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. Reverend Marvin Kindle will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
