For the Antigo Times

This Saturday, October 29th, the Habitat for Humanity of Langlade County will be putting the lawn in at its new project home in White Lake. The Habitat organization needs an army of volunteers to rake and pick up rocks. Bring rakes, shovels, and wheel barrows if you have them. Gloves and good, sturdy shoes are important. This is also an opportunity  for those under 16 years old to help. Volunteers 16 or under or a group such as a 4-H or church group are welcome as long as they come with an adult leader to sign the waiver form with them and help provide direction.

The team will start at 9 am and lunch is provided. The home is located at W3483 Grudgeville Road, White Lake. If you take Hwy 64 east from Antigo toward White Lake, you will eventually turn right on Grudgeville Rd. The home is on the right hand side about 1.5 miles off of Hwy 64.

The Habitat team normally works until 4 m but is hoping to be done prior to that. The organization appreciates having your name and phone number if you plan on coming so we know how many to prepare for but last minute help is encouraged as well.

“If you have not seen the house for this year, this is a great opportunity to take a look. I stopped by last week and was quite impressed,” Paul Grinde, Habitat for Humanity of Langlade County President, said.
