Rosemary Drexler, 81
Rosemary Drexler, of Antigo, died Friday, November 18, 2016 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 81 years old. She was born on March 29, 1935 in Antigo, a daughter of Peter and Loretta (Wolfe) Theisen. She married Lawrence Drexler on March 14, 1955 at St. John Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2015.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School.
Rosemary lived thru out the United States due to her husbands career in the United States Air Force. She worked in food service many years beginning in California, then returning to Antigo in 1972.
From 1973 to 1986 she worked as food service supervisor at Langlade Memorial Hospital in Antigo.
She was a member of the Leland-Tollefson VFW Post #2653, auxiliary and St. John Catholic Church.
She was an avid gardener who enjoyed canning, knitting and following the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan (Mark) Zingler, Summit Lake; two sons, David and Lawrence Drexler of Antigo; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor (Carl) Hoerman, Antigo, Rita (Ben) Mach, Green Bay; a brother, Edward Theisen, Antigo.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, James Drexler, one grandson and two great grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia (Anton “Tony”) Drexler, Joan Theisen, Luella Theisen, Marie (Tony) Hallada; two brothers, Lavern (Mary) Theisen, Eugene (Sue) Theisen; a sister-in-law, Florian Theisen.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Judah Pigon M.F., officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass on Monday at the church in Hoffmann Hall.
