ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, November 28^th

8:37 AM Officers responded to a call from an employee of an area business on Jerome Street reporting a vehicle on fire in their parking lot. The vehicle was fully engulfed. The vehicle was removed from the lot.

11:11 AM Officers responded to a call from a female from West Bend requesting officers check an address for a missing person. The female told officers that her 76 year old mother from West Bend was missing. She had come to Antigo to visit family. She said that her mother’s cell phone was dead or she was not answering it. Officers checked the family member’s residence, Langlade hospital and several hotel locations. Officers were unable to locate the missing female or her vehicle.

11:49 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street to view a video of a female subject possibly shoplifting some alcohol. She left in a green minivan. They gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers cited the female subject for retail theft.

2:04 PM Officers responded to a call reporting damage to a door at an area business on 5^th Avenue. The caller was unsure if someone damaged the door or if it broke on its own. Officers contacted the owner who told officers that he would check on it.

2:10 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her cell phone was stolen from a relative’s apartment on Clermont Street. The caller gave officers the name of a possible female suspect.

2:58 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a male subject had pulled out in front of him at Superior Street and 6^th Avenue. The caller blew his horn at the male subject. The male subject then flipped him off. Then at the stop lights, the male subject put his vehicle in reverse, but did not hit the caller’s vehicle. Finally, in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64, the male subject yelled obscenities at the caller. Officers talked to the male subject, advised him of the complaint and warned him about his behavior.

5:58 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting the theft of his laptop computer and briefcase from his vehicle while it was parked at an area business on Hwy. 64. Officers were checking the surveillance video of the area business.

6:13 PM Officers came upon a three vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Property damage only. A state accident report was filed. One driver was issued a citation for not having a valid driver’s license.

Wednesday, November 30^th

8:00 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on 7^th Avenue reporting that a black lab dog was loose again, and it was chasing her daycare children. Officers talked with the female dog owner. Officers warned her that any more complaints would result in a citation.

8:02 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on 4^th Avenue reporting that a vehicle had been parked on the street since the day before. Officers issued two citations. The vehicle was towed and held for the bill.

10:03 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting a scam. She told officers that she received a call at 8:00 AM from someone asking for her credit card information, and she gave it to them. She had since cancelled the credit card. The caller had known the last four digits of the credit card and had threatened to send her a bill for $500 if she didn’t renew her TV Guide. She gave officers the phone number. The phone number did not work.

10:52 AM Officers responded to an abatement issue at an address on Deleglise Street. There were a lot of personal items all over the porch and the front yard. Officers left their card on the front door. 12/1/16 Officers made contact with a female subject who stated that the items were Christmas gifts to be given away by next week. Officers would be monitoring the situation.

11:27 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting an accident at an establishment on Clermont Street. It was only a minor accident. There were no injuries. A report was filed.

12:47 PM Officers referred a male student for disorderly conduct for an incident at Antigo High School.

5:08 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Jerome Street reporting a female shoplifter.  The business told officers that the female had also been in the business a few days earlier and may have stolen some power tools. Officers talked with the female subject. She admitted to stealing power tools and much more. Officers recovered a large amount of tools from the female subject’s home on Washington Avenue.

11:50 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5^th Avenue and Fulton Street. The driver was cited for no insurance and was given a written warning for speed.

Thursday, December 1^st

7:19 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a female shoplifter on tape. The female subject was described as havin dark hair and wearing broken glasses. She had been in the business for over half an hour. She took several food items which she placed in a bag she was carrying. She had asked to purchase cigarettes, but left when she was asked for identification. She left southbound on Neva Road driving a gold Mercury Sable. Officers identified the female subject and cited her for retail theft.

8:30 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a female shoplifter. They tried to stop the female subject, but she left the store going southbound on Superior Street wearing a black coat and carrying a pink purse. Officers then received a second call reporting that the female subject was with a tall African American male subject. They split up and he was also going southbound on Superior Street. Officers arrested the female subject for shoplifting and bail jumping.

8:51 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report that her license plate had been stolen off of her van while it had been parked at an area business on Hwy. 64. She had been at the business at around 8:15 PM. Officers were advised. The business was not sure if their camera would show anything based on where the female had parked.

Friday, December 2^nd

1:01 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that when he returned to his residence on 5^th Avenue, he noticed that one of his vehicles had been hit. The car was parked in the parking lot of an apartment complex. There were deep scratches in the rear quarter panel. The male told officers that he had not driven the vehicle in two weeks. It was unknown who hit the vehicle or when it occurred.

1:36 PM Officers received a call reporting that two African American middle aged females, wearing dark clothing were stealing from an area business on S. Superior Street. The caller stated that one female subject took an item and put it in the bag she was carrying, about ten minutes ago. The two female subjects left, walking southbound on S. Superior Street. Officers told the business to call the next time that the two female subjects were in the store and causing a disturbance.

3:33 PM A female came to the Safety Building to report that someone applied for a credit card in her name and had it forwarded to an address in Antigo that she owned. The female told officers that she had cancelled the card when she received it, but she later found out that successful fraudulent queries were made on the credit card account on August 23^rd from France, on September 8^th from Mexico and September 19^th from Switzerland. In addition, an email address had been added on her account profile that she did not know. The credit card company had since added fraud protection to her account. She told officers that she was not out any money that she knew of.

8:32 PM Officers received a 911 call reporting a female screaming at a male subject in the area of the 700 block of Deleglise Street. Officers received a second 911 call from a male stating that a male and female subject were arguing and threatening to kill one another on Deleglise Street. They were headed eastbound on 4^th Avenue. Officers arrested the male subject on a Department of Corrections warrant.

Saturday, December 3^rd

12:32 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and 7^th Avenue. The driver was issued a 10 day correction notice for expired registration.

2:32 AM Officers were out with a subject at 5^th Avenue and Edison Street. They were cited for open intoxicants off the premises.

4:16 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Ackley Street and Edison Street. The driver was arrested for operating after revocation, failure to install ignition interlock device and bail jumping felony and misdemeanor. The passenger was cited for unauthorized display of vehicle registration.

5:24 PM Officer responded to a call from a male reporting a 2 vehicle accident at an area business on Superior Street. The male caller backed into another vehicle. Property damage only.

8:18 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a camo red wrapped truck had been driving around recklessly. The truck rolled out black smoke from its exhaust, making it difficult for others to see. The truck was now located behind an area business on 5^th Avenue. Officers warned the male driver about his driving habits.

9:30 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting criminal damage to his vehicle while it was parked in the Peaceful Valley parking lot on 6^th Avenue. The caller told officers that someone had put doe urine all over the door handle. The caller stated that it had happened the night before as well. The caller gave officers the names of two possible male suspects. Officers talked with both male suspects who denied having anything to do with it.

Sunday, December 4^th

1:31 AM Officers were out with a male subject on 5^th Avenue. The male subject’s crutches had slipped and the male had fallen down. Officers assisted the male subject to his feet. He declined an ambulance.

1:58 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Langlade Road and Elmo Street. The driver was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.

3:14 AM Officers responded to a call from an employee of an area business on Neva Road reporting that a male subject wearing camouflage was wondering around outside the building and appeared very intoxicated. The caller told officers that the male subject went northbound on Neva Road. The caller told officers that he was afraid that the male subject may wander into traffic. Officers were unable to locate the male subject.

1:55 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital reporting that a male subject with accidental pellet gunshot wound in the left foot left the hospital, with the pellet still in his foot. The caller told officers that when they told the male subject that they were call the police, he made an excuse to go to the car and then left. Officers talked with a female at the male subject’s home. She said that the incident happened on 12/3/16 and the pellet gun accidentally went off. The male subject was not home. Officers did not feel any further investigation was needed at that time.

2:56 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. No one was in the vehicle. There was only very minor damage. A report was completed.

7:17 PM Officers received a call from a male reporting that people were doing donuts in a church parking lot near 2^nd Avenue and Virginia Street. The caller stated the vehicles included a black pickup truck, a silver Ford pickup truck, a S10 pickup truck and a black car. Officers were advised.

9:25 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a male subject living in an empty apartment on Nantasket Street. The male was described as a white male about 5’10” in his 20s. Officers found marijuana in the apartment. They tracked the male subject to Edison Street. Possible charges were pending.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Thursday, December 1st

10:32 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that two large manure trucks had dumped at least 10,000 lbs. of raw sewage on Hwy. 45 from Cty. Rd. V, southbound on Hwy. 45. The caller’s vehicle was covered with it and he was upset. Officers also received a call from the farmer right away requesting traffic control to clean up the mess.

8:09 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a male subject was wandering around on the road on Cty. Rd. F. The caller also told officers that another vehicle had almost hit the male subject. The caller turned around and gave the male subject a ride to Langlade Hospital. Officers found out that the male subject had been drinking with an acquaintance that he only knew by his first name. The male subject did not feel comfortable driving home, so the acquaintance offered to give him a ride. When the male subject felt that the acquaintance was going in the wrong direction, he decided to get out of the vehicle. There was no altercation, and he told officers that he did not need medical attention. He was going to call someone for a ride.

Friday, December 2^nd

8:08 AM Officers received a call from a female on Wistful Vista Road reporting that some Hydrocodone was stolen from her home. It was a full bottle with approximately 60 pills. She gave officers the name of a possible male suspect. 7:34 PM The female called officers back because her doctor would not give her any more pills until a police report was filed. Officers gave her an incident number and a copy of the report. The female also gave officers more information on the possible suspect. She told officers the location of his residence, his phone number and a description of his vehicle. 12/3/16 The male subject was arrested for criminal trespass, possession of schedule II narcotics and theft.

Saturday, December 3^rd

2:26 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he rolled his car on Hwy. 52. The caller stated that he saw a deer and went to the left and the road was slippery.  The accident occurred on Hwy. 52, ¼ mile east of Polar Road. The male subject was complaining of neck and head pain.

3:30 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Wistful Vista Road reporting that a male subject who was a suspect in the theft of medication from his home was just in his house. The male subject tried the back door twice and then just walked into the front door and went directly to the medicine cabinet. The male subject was arrested for criminal trespass, possession of schedule II narcotics and theft.

7:03 PM Officers received a call from a female from White Lake reporting that she was the victim of a scam. The female subject told officers that she had applied for an EZ loan a couple of days before on a secure website. She had provided all of her personal information, her full social security number and her boyfriend’s bank account number. She was now receiving harassing and threatening phone calls from a John Smith, from different phone numbers. She told him that she knew it was a scam. “Mr. Smith” even threatened to kill her at one point. The female subject told officers that she didn’t believe that they were out any money. Officers advised the female to contact her bank and check her online banking account to make sure that no money was lost.

Sunday, December 4^th

12:25 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her vehicle was in the ditch at Hwy. 64 and West 5^th Avenue. She told officers that she was working on getting a wrecker there. Officers found that the vehicle was well off of the road. There was no one around. There were open intoxicants in the vehicle. Officers made contact with the female subject. She was cited for open intoxicants in the vehicle.

1:15 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she slid in the ditch and hit a power pole by St. Peter’s Church on Cty. Rd. S. There were power lines on the road. Officers received another call from a male who lived nearby on Cty. Rd. S. He told officers that he would assist with traffic. The female subject had been northbound on Cty. Rd. S, lost control and hit the power pole and a mailbox. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. A state report was filed.

7:39 PM Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hwy. 64 and Cty. Rd. M. There was only minor damage. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.

Monday, December 5^th

6:03 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he went into the ditch 6 or 7 miles west of Antigo on Hwy. 64. The vehicle was a 20 foot straight truck.

12:13 PM Officers responded to a call from a female calling for her son to report a break in at his shop on Buettner Road. She told officers that they believed that the break in occurred around 10am because of tracks in the snow bank. She also told officers that the subjects were on foot and broke in through the back door. There were items missing and there was a barrel full of stuff there that it appeared that they were going to come back for.  Officers saw that the suspects walked through woods and gained entrance by kicking in the door. Nothing was taken. Items appeared to be stacked to come back for. Officers checked the area for similar foot prints. No matching ones were found.

12:32 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting a scam. The caller was contacted by a subject asking for a cashier’s check for $1,002.00 for protection. They told the female caller that she would receive $10 million and a car. She was told to mail the check to an address in Tifton, Georgia or to meet with a male subject. The female was told that the male subject would call her back. Officers advised the female caller to not give anyone any information or money.

1:07 PM Officers received a call from the owner of an area business on Hwy. 47 reporting a bullet hole in the building. He requested that an officer stop by to check it out.

8:01 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that someone in a White Pontiac Grand Am drove through his yard on Kautza Drive and left ruts in the yard. No parts were left behind.
