Change of venue for outdoor hockey/skating rink in Antigo

The City of Antigo has worked closely with the Antigo Area Youth Hockey Association in making a change in where the outdoor hockey rink is located this year. The hockey rink has been moved after discussions with the Hockey Association Board and the Park, Cemetery and Recreation Commission. Both groups feel with the proximity to the Warming House and restrooms there may be an increase in usage. Additionally, by having the rinks located in the same park crews are able to efficiently maintain both the larger figure skating rink and hockey rink.

General Description

The rink is open for use in the winter months when it is flooded for pick-up hockey games, figure skaters and broomball. Ice time is shared between users. This rink is a cooperative effort between the City of Antigo and the Antigo Area Youth Hockey Association. Ice time is to be shared by all users and groups. There is no lifting of pucks or checking on the hockey rink.
