ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, January 9th
12:05 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to turn in a tablet that she found in the parking lot of an area business on 5th Avenue.
5:53 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that a vehicle just took down a sign by an area business on Hwy. 64 and the vehicle continued into the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64 and a male subject went into the business. The male driver of the vehicle was described as a short older man wearing overalls, a hat and had a headset on. Officers identified the male subject.
6:17 PM Officers arrested a male subject on Lincoln Street on seven Langlade County Sheriff’s Office failure to pay fine warrants. The male subject was transported to Corrections.
Tuesday, January 10th
1:29 PM Officers received a call reporting that vehicles had been traveling on Lincoln Street between 10th and 5th Avenues at a high rate of speed between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. The caller requested an extra patrol.
1:35 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident near an area business on Morse Street. Property damage only.
1:44 PM Officers cited a female student for the theft of money from another student’s locker on 1/9/17 at Antigo High School.
1:45 PM Officers cited a male student for disorderly conduct for punching another student at Antigo Middle School.
3:32 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in the alley at 7th Avenue and Hudson Street. Vehicle 2 was turning into the alleyway. Vehicle 1 was coming out of the alleyway. Vehicle 1 stated that they did not see Vehicle 2 until the last minute and could not stop. Vehicle 2 admitted fault. A voluntary report was completed.
6:23 PM Officers responded to a report of a motorist needing assistance at Pierce Avenue and Deliglise Street. Their vehicle was in the snowbank. The vehicle was towed.
9:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that a skid steer used to push snow at an area business on Hwy. 64 accidentally hit an electrical transfer. Wisconsin Public Service was notified. An officer was requested to come and take photos of the scene.
Wednesday, January 11th
12:55 AM Officers were out with a vehicle in the 800 block of Clermont Street. The vehicle was stuck halfway in a driveway. No one was in the vehicle. Officers attempted to call the vehicle owner. There was no answer. The vehicle was towed and held for the bill. Officers later talked with the female owner. She was advised where the vehicle was taken.
2:51 AM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch on the corner of 10th Avenue and Western Avenue. The male driver had called his son for a tow out of the ditch.
9:36 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that when she backed out of her driveway on Virginia Street, she hit another vehicle. She told officers that she had not seen the other vehicle because of the high snowbanks.
10:46 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on Clermont Street and 1st Avenue. Vehicle 1 and 2 were eastbound on 1st Avenue at approximately Clermont Street. Vehicle 1 missed a driveway and stopped. Vehicle 1 then backed up, striking Vehicle 2.
12:52 PM Officers responded to an area business on 6th Avenue reporting that they received a counterfeit $10 bill. Officers logged the bill into evidence.
8:45 PM Officers were at a residence on S. Hudson Street. A male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant. Another male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and a Portage County warrant. He was also charged with possession of suboxone.
8:52 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting three adult male subjects were being detained for shoplifting. The three male subjects were cited for retail theft.
Thursday, January 12th
1:07 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on 3rd Avenue reporting subjects fighting upstairs. The caller did not know if it was just verbal. A female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, bail jumping and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:01 AM Officers received a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive-off that occurred on 1/10/17. They had given the male subject time to pay, but he had not returned. The business gave officers the name of the male subject. He was referred for theft and bail jumping.
11:50 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a female shoplifter. The female subject had filled a cart with $222 worth of items and walked out the door without paying. The female subject was arrested for retail theft and bail jumping.
3:47 PM Officers were out at an area business on S. Superior Street. A male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay fines. He was transported to Corrections.
5:00 PM Officers received a call from a female subject on Arctic Street reporting a suspicious call. She told officers that she received a call from a Native American sounding male stating that he was coming over in a few minutes to “get the stuff.” She asked, “What stuff?” And he said, “You know, the package you got from Columbia. I paid $5,000 for it.” The female subject told officers that she was very scared. She gave officers the phone number and she told them that she would call back if anyone showed up.
5:11 PM Officers arrested a male subject on Elm Street on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear, for a civil matter. The male subject was transported to Corrections.
7:29 PM Officers observed a male subject driving at Neva Road and Mendlik Street. The male subject was cited for operating after suspension.
8:13 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Superior Street. The passenger was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.
9:26 PM Officers arrested a male subject on McMillian Avenue on a Department of Corrections warrant.
9:57 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue The driver was warned for not having a clean windshield.
Friday, January 13th
1:54 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 2nd Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
2:08 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Cedar Street. The driver was given a written warning for an improper right turn.
7:56 AM Officers received a call from a male subject on 6th Avenue reporting that his wallet was missing from his truck that was sitting his driveway. He told officers that he was unsure if he forgot to lock his truck or if it was taken that morning when the truck was warming up. He gave officers a description of the wallet and its contents.
11:41 AM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that he lost his wallet. He told officers that he thought he lost it at either an area business on Superior Street or another area business on Neva Road. He already contacted those businesses and left them a description of the wallet. The male subject gave officers a description of the wallet and its contents. He told officers that he would call back if the wallet was found.
2:20 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report that she hit a parked car at some apartments on Dorr Street. Officers notified the owner of the other vehicle. A non-reportable accident report was completed.
3:38 PM Officers received a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting that a vehicle struck their mailbox. She told officers that her husband was out speaking with the male driver.
4:19 PM An area business on Neva Road reported that they had a bad check written to them from a male subject for $105.38. Officers referred the subject to the District Attorney.
4:19 PM An area business on Neva Road reported that they had a bad check written to them from a male subject for $54.00. Officers referred the subject to the District Attorney.
4:19 PM An area business on Neva Road reported that they had a bad check written to them from a female subject for $48.91. Officers spoke with a family member, who said that they would try and take care of it.
7:44 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject who reported being in a two vehicle accident at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. There were no injuries. The vehicles were drivable.
7:51 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital reporting that staff was threatened by a male subject who wanted lab work done, even though the lab was closed at the time.
9:40 PM A subject came to the Safety Building to report that a female subject was punched by another female subject at an establishment on Clermont Street. Officers referred the second female subject for disorderly conduct.
11:34 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense.
11:50 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a vehicle was parked on the side of an area business on 5th Avenue with the lights on and there was a female subject slumped over the wheel. Officers arrested the female subject for operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense.
11:57 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Jerome Street. The driver was cited for non-registration.
Saturday, January 14th
2:54 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in a snowbank at Edison Street and Mendlik Avenue. The driver was working on getting it removed when officers arrived.
3:03 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Hwy. 45. The driver was arrested on a Shawano County warrant.
1:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that someone entered her home on 6th Avenue and took money and medication. The caller gave officers the names of two possible suspects. Officers talked with a female suspect on Field Street, who denied having any knowledge of the stolen items. The female subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
7:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The driver was cited for speed. A traffic education class was offered.
7:54 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The male driver was cited for speed.
8:05 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Edison Street reporting that his wife was involved in a snowmobile crash about an hour earlier in the Neva area and had a leg injury that was bleeding. The male subject told officers that he and his wife were out riding, he slowed down to let his wife catch up and she accidently struck the rear of his snowmobile. They continued home. They then noticed the injury. Officers took photos of the damage to the snowmobiles. The male subject’s sled had very minor damage. The female subject’s sled had damage to the right side.
8:12 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The male driver was cited for speed. A traffic education class was offered.
8:48 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The male driver was cited for speed. A traffic education class was offered.
9:08 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The female driver was cited for speed and was given a 7 day warning for an expired registration. A traffic education class was offered.
9:29 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The female driver was cited for speed.
9:56 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The female driver was cited for speed and was given a written warning for no insurance.
11:56 PM Officers responded to an anonymous call reporting that people were banging on the walls in an apartment on 1st Avenue. Officers spoke with the female subject about the noise. She was advised that if continued, she could be issued a citation.
Sunday, January 15th
2:28 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report a possible phone scam call made to his mother-in-law a week earlier. The female subject received a call from someone claiming to work for city hall. They spoke with her about her late husband’s burial benefits from the VA’s office. They told her that they would be stopping by her house to have her sign something to get a refund. The male subject thought that the story was very confusing and suspicious. The male subject gave officers the phone number of the subject who called.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, January 12th
2:19 AM Officers referred a female subject for disorderly conduct, resisting and battery to a law enforcement officer. The female subject had been arrested earlier and was taken to Langlade Hospital for medical clearance. Once in the emergency room, she became more and more disruptive and resisted being taken to jail. The female subject then kicked the officer in the face.
4:32 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Cty. Rd. P in White Lake reporting that a truck went in the ditch across from her residence. She was uncertain if there were any injuries. The vehicle was towed.
4:02 PM Officers arrested a male subject on Lincoln Street on a warrant for assault/strangulation.
Saturday, January 14th
12:10 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Cty. Rd. B. A male subject was arrested for obstructing and was cited for open intoxicants. It was to be a traffic stop, but the driver took off on foot before officers turned on their lights.
9:27 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a red pickup truck buried in a ditch about ½ mile on Cty. Rd. K, near the Catholic church on the south side of the road. The caller told officers that there appeared to be no one around. The vehicle was registered to a male subject from West Bend who reported there was no damage and a wrecker was called. The vehicle was removed.
11:37 AM Officers were out with two male snowmobilers at Jack Lake. Both male subjects were cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
12:06 PM Officers were out with a male snowmobiler in the Jack Lake area. The male subject was given a written warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
12:51 PM Officers were out with a male snowmobiler at Hwy. 45 and Knight Road. The male subject was cited for no trail pass.
1:45 PM Officers were out with snowmobiles at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. N. Officers issued a trail pass citation to a male subject.
4:39 PM Officers were out with snowmobiles at Cty. Rd. TT and Cty. Rd. A. A male subject was cited for no trail pass.
Sunday, January 15th
1:42 AM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch at Cty. Rd. M & Hwy. 55. No one was around. The vehicle was towed and held for the bill.
Monday, January 16th
6:03 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a Toyota Prius was partially in the roadway on Forest Road, just off of Cty. Rd. J. The vehicle was towed.
7:52 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he went into the ditch on Chip N Dale Drive off of Hwy. 55 and struck a tree. He had no injuries. The vehicle was towed. A state report was filed.
11:42 AM Officers responded to a report of a rollover accident on Hwy. 64 east of Elton. An older male subject was getting out of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed. There was no damage.
Tuesday, January 17th
12:14 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female reporting that there was a car in the ditch just south of Huggins Road on Hwy. 45. She told officers that two subjects were walking down the road. A female subject was given a 10 day correction notice for an expired registration. A male subject was given a 10 day correction notice for an expired driver’s license. The vehicle was towed. There was no damage.
12:16 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. O. One male subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Both vehicles were towed.
