Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 1/30/17
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, January 16th
11:02 AM Officers responded to a report of a minor accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Vehicle 2 was parking in the lot. Vehicle 1 was backing up and struck Vehicle 2 in the passenger side front bumper causing damage. There was light damage to the rear bumper of Vehicle 1. There were no injuries.
3:24 PM Officers responded to several reports of an accident at 10th Avenue and Superior Street. Officers talked to a male subject who witnessed the accident. He told officers that two vehicles were side by side, northbound on Superior Street, when a female subject pulled out of the parking lot of an area business and the vehicle in the lane closest to the female’s vehicle could not get into the other lane to avoid an accident. The accident was still under investigation.
9:55 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for speed. A traffic education pamphlet was distributed.
Tuesday, January 17th
5:57 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Field Street. The driver was cited for no proof of insurance and was given a 10 day warning for an expired registration.
11:53 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Clermont Street. The driver was cited for no proof of insurance and was warned for a defective brake light.
Wednesday, January 18th
12:27 PM Officers issued a male student a citation for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred in an art class at the Antigo High School.
12:29 PM Officers issued a male student a citation for disorderly conduct, 3rd offense for getting into an altercation with another male student on 1/12/17 at the Antigo Middle School.
1:15 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Graham Avenue reporting that she witnessed a male subject choke a pregnant female subject, put her in his vehicle and then drive off. They were last seen going southbound on Arctic Street from Graham Avenue. Officers checked the area and went to a residence on 5th Avenue were the possible subjects lived. They talked to the male and female subjects who told officers that nothing physical had happened.
1:33 PM Officers responded to an abatement complaint regarding garbage piling up in back of a residence on Spruce Street. Officers spoke with the residents who said that they would take care of it.
2:17 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident in the parking lot of an area business on S. Superior Street. A report was filed.
Thursday, January 19th
8:40 AM Officers responded to a report of an accident at 1st Avenue and Lincoln Street with one person injured. A female driver was cited for failure to stop and no insurance.
12:04 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a female shoplifter that they had detained. The female subject was cited for retail theft.
1:18 PM Officers cited the female parent of a student for disorderly conduct for yelling and swearing at a school employee at the Antigo Middle School.
1:38 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was just involved in an accident at Clermont Street and Mendlik Avenue and she was injured. The female caller was cited for failure to yield, operating after suspension and no insurance. An accident report was filed.
8:53 PM Officers received a call from a male subject on Elm Street reporting that someone entered a vehicle in his driveway. Nothing appeared to be missing and apparently they were not interested in the vehicle because the keys were in it.
Friday, January 20th
4:13 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that a female subject had taken some items and left the store without paying for them. The business gave officers her license plate number. The female subject on Pine Street was cited for retail theft.
6:20 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was following a vehicle on Superior Street and the driver may be intoxicated. The caller said that the driver was only going about 20 MPH and was weaving all over. The vehicle then turned on to 1st Avenue traveling westbound. The caller gave officers the vehicle’s license plate number. Officers met with the male subject and advised him of his driving habits.
11:50 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
Saturday, January 21st
1:28 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was cited for a defective tail lamp.
2:04 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on S. Superior Street. The driver was issued citations for expired registration and no insurance.
12:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a vehicle backed out of a driveway on Lincoln Street and struck his vehicle.
3:03 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that a Maroon Ford Expedition was leaving the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64 with a child in a passenger’s lap, in the front seat. Officers issued the driver citations for operating without a license and a violation of child restraint.
5:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Deleglise Street reporting that she found a bag with some kind of white substance in her house. She told officers the name of the female subject that it might belong to. Officers arrest the indicated female subject for possession of meth.
6:38 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a male shoplifter. The male subject was cited for retail theft.
Sunday, January 21st
1:46 AM Officers arrested a male subject on 5th Avenue for disorderly conduct and he was cited for public urination. The male subject had been urinating facing the street with people on the sidewalk and vehicles going by.
3:15 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject at a residence on Hwy. 45 reporting that her boyfriend was assaulted by two Hispanic male subjects at an area business on Edison Street. The male subjects had hit him the head with some beer bottles and he had a laceration on his head. The Hispanic male subjects fled on foot. The male subject did not want to go to the hospital. Officers met with the male and female subjects. They were able to identify the Hispanic male subject that hit the male subject.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, January 19th
1:03 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on S. Superior Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense.
10:46 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was at his cabin on Lake Agnes Road and noticed his that his snowmobile trailer was missing. He had parked it there on 1/13/17 and it was gone when he returned on 1/16/17. The trailer was described as a caravan, 8’x10’, black with a salt shield.
Friday, January 20th
12:31 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at the fairgrounds on Neva Road. A male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating with a restricted controlled substance.
1:20 PM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover at Hwy. 55 and Elst Road involving a 2001 Dodge Caravan. Two female subjects were injured.
8:47 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a one vehicle accident on Hwy. 55 north of Hwy. 64. A truck was in the ditch and a male subject was standing by it. Officers then received a call from a male subject who told them that he was the one who went into the ditch. There were no injuries or damage. He told officers that he was waiting for a tow truck. The male subject told officers that the roads were extremely icy and he was only going about 25MPH at the time.
9:22 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Wistful Vista Road in White Lake reporting the theft of 40 to 50 hydrocortisone pills and a couple of cheap rings from her bathroom. The female subject told officers that an area business had delivered a new refrigerator that day and a woman who was along had asked to use her bathroom. At the time, she thought nothing of it, but since then she noticed the items were missing.
10:44 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident at Wistful Vista Road and Hwy. 64. There were no injuries or damage. The vehicle was removed by a tow truck.
Saturday, January 21st
2:55 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. A male subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.
10:43 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he slid into the ditch on Hwy. 45, just south of Hwy. 47. There was no damage. A tow truck was called.
11:58 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Valley Vista Road reporting items taken from her home. She told officers that she had left home that morning around 6:30 AM and when she returned around 11:30 AM, she found that their safe had been broken into and several firearms were missing. Her dogs had also been locked in another room. Officers processed some evidence and were given photos of some of the missing firearms.
Monday, January 23rd
4:07 AM Officers responded to a call from a towing company reporting a vehicle in the ditch on Ormsby Road. There were no injuries. A state report was completed.
9:26 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 45 and Koepenick Road. A male subject was arrested on a Forest County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for disorderly conduct. The male subject was also warned for a defective tail light.
