James Seller, 89
James Sellers, of Antigo, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 89 years old. He was born on September 6, 1927 in White Lake, a son of Maurice and Marion (Lange) Sellers. He married Janice Bristol on October 7, 1950 in Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2014.
He was a graduate of White Lake High School with the class of 1946 and went on to serve in the United States Army as a paratrooper and with the Military Police while stationed in occupied Japan.
Following military service he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. While in Milwaukee he worked for Wisconsin Power and Light for eleven years.
He had a long career working for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Ranger in White Lake and Merrill retiring in 1984.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Boyd, Antigo; two Grandchildren, Andrew Boyd, Langlade, Sabrina (Randy) Auippy, Antigo; four great-grandchildren, Montana and Hunter Auippy, Jackie and Kimberly Boyd; four sisters, Virginia (Edward) Huettner, White Lake, Eleanor (Jessie) Kemp, West Allis, Mary Jo (Cliff) Adkins, West Allis, Cleoma Rogers of Mauston; four brothers, Eugene Sellers, Palmer, Alaska, Alvin (Shirley) Sellers, Arizona, Dan Sellers, Anchorage, Alaska, Edward (Karen) Sellers, White Lake.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his a sister Hazel Marsh,a brother, Gilbert Sellers.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. David Schmidt officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
