BREAKING NEWS: Weston bar shooting victim identified as Bryant man

From the Everest Metro Police Department

On Friday, Feb 17, 2017 at approximately 12:02am the Everest Metro Police Department was dispatched to a report of a bleeding, unconscious male lying in the parking lot of  Wiggly Field located at 2005 Schofield Ave in the Village of Weston.

The deceased victim has been identified as Nicholas Houdek, 27 years of age, from Bryant, Wisconsin.

The first officer arrived on scene at 12:04am followed shortly by additional officers and EMS personnel.  The male victim was later pronounced dead on scene.

An autopsy was performed on the victim and the cause of death was determined to be from a single gun-shot wound.   Detectives continue to process and evaluate all evidentiary items, to include digital media.  Detectives are also interviewing witnesses to the incident and establishing a timeline of events prior to the time of the incident.  Based upon the initial investigation, we do not believe there is any danger to the public.
