Play & Learn February 16th 9:30-11am N4013 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents and children to do together. The activity will build skills for school readiness and milestone achievement. Quarterly Ages and Stages questionnaires are made available to parents and caregivers to assist families in helping their children to reach age based development milestones. Lion’s Club Ice Fishing Derby February 18th 10am-3:30pm Maple Lake, Three Lakes. The Three Lakes Lion’s Club will sponsor its 64th Annual Ice Fishing Derby! Bring the whole family! Prizes will be awarded for number and size of fish species. Separate prizes will be awarded for the largest fish caught by supervised children 12 years of age and younger. 42nd Annual Red Arrow Snowmobile Club Fish-A-Ree February 18th-19th 11am-6pm Sat. & Noon-4pm Sun. Townsend Town Hall, 16564 Elm St., Townsend. There will be a fishing contest both days with prizes awarded in four categories. DJ music, food, meat raffles, liquid refreshments, and a big ticket raffle with lots of prizes. Anda Union Concert February 18th 7:30pm Nicolet College Theatre, 5355 College Dr., Rhinelander. Anda Union is part of a musical movement in China that finds inspiration in old & forgotten songs, drawing from a repertoire that had all but disappeared during their country’s recent tumultuous past. Hailing from differing ethnic nomadic cultures, the nine-strong band unites tribal & musical traditions from all over Inner Mongolia. Incorporating traditional instruments & vocal styles together, they create an addictive combination of Mongolian musical styles to keep the essence of their culture alive.
