Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 3/27/17
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, March 13th
12:24 PM Officers responded to a call from West Elementary reporting that a male student had gotten physical with a teacher. Officers learned that the student had threatened two other classmates with violence and he had thrown a stick with an apple on it at his teacher. The male student was released to his father.
5:09 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. A female passenger was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, felony paraphernalia possession and felony bail jumping. A male passenger was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.
7:25 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Cty. Rd G and Cty. Rd HH. Officers arrested a subject on a Department of Corrections warrant, a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:43 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that while she was at the stop lights at 5th Avenue and Superior Street, a car blew by her at a very high rate of speed. She told officers that the vehicle continued southbound through town. She thought that the vehicle may have turned eastbound on Forrest Avenue. Officers sent a teletype to the Shawano County and Menominee County Sheriff’s Offices about the vehicle.
Tuesday, March 14th
12:45 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on S. Superior Street. The driver was cited for operating while suspended and for having no insurance.
2:29 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School reporting a male student out of control and biting staff. When officers arrived the student was yelling and swearing. He had thrown two chairs, threw items off of the teacher’s desk and a bookshelf and he had bitten a teacher on the arm and knee. Officers were able to calm the male student down.
4:29 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report that someone had hacked into her phone. Officers advised the female and her mother that someone was probably using an app to use her phone number. The female told officers that she had been getting random calls from people. Someone seemed to be using her phone number to try and scam people. The female told officers that she was going to take the phone back to the business were it was purchased.
6:35 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Lincoln Street. A male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and was transported to Corrections.
8:34 PM Officers were at a residence on Dorr Street. A male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for operating while suspended. He was transported to Corrections.
9:24 PM Officers responded to a report from an area business on Neva Road that a dark colored pickup went through their drive-through with the male driver having an infant sitting in his lap. They gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers cited the male driver for violation of child safety restraints.
Wednesday, March 15th
1:16 PM Officers responded to a report of a female student out of control at Antigo High School. The female was escorted out of the classroom to the office and then to her residence on Edison Street.
2:02 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School that a six year old male student took off from the school going eastbound and teachers were chasing after him. The male student was caught and brought to the Safety Building. He was swearing and then ran away again. He was caught and brought back. He was released to his mother.
8:17 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The female driver was cited for speed. A traffic information packet was issued.
9:08 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. One male subject and two female subjects were arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotic drugs. Their vehicle was towed.
Thursday, March 16th
4:44 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Century Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating after revocation (operating while intoxicated related). They were transported to Corrections.
6:18 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her son’s bike was stolen from the Boys & Girls Club on Superior Street on 3/14/17. It was a 20 inch Mongoose, black with orange trim.
11:49 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Weed Street. The driver was cited for operating while suspended and operating without proof of insurance.
Friday, March 17th
11:02 AM Officers responded to a call from Antigo High School reporting an out of control female student. The student was not listening and wandering around the building wherever she wanted. Officers brought the female subject to the Safety Building. A disorderly conduct citation may be issued.
12:32 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School reporting a disorderly student.
3:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Langlade Road reporting that her purse was stolen and it was later found in the garbage. The caller gave officers the name of a female suspect. Officers talked with the female suspect who admitted taking some money from the female’s purse, but not all of the money. Officers referred the female subject for theft and bail jumping.
4:44 PM Officers responded to a report that a gray, 4 door Ford Taurus had four kids in the back seat and two of the children were sharing a seat belt. Officers stopped the vehicle at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. The male driver was cited for violation of safety restraints.
5:16 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. The male driver was arrested for operating without a license, 3rd offense.
6:45 PM Officers arrested a male subject on Charlotte Street on three Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrants for operating while suspended.
10:22 PM Officers were out a residence on Lincoln Street. A female subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
11:19 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Hogan Street. The driver was issued a written warning for a defective headlamp.
11:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. A male passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, March 18th
12:19 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on S. Superior Street. The female driver was cited for operating without a license.
2:39 AM Officers witnessed a vehicle run through a back yard fence on Dorr Street. Officers stopped the vehicle at 8th Avenue and Dorr Street. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. The property owner was notified of the damage. A crash report was completed.
6:28 PM Officers responded to a report of a fight at an area business on Dorr Street. Two male subjects had a dispute over a pool game. No damage was done and everyone had calmed down. No charges were filed.
7:53 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Washington Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
9:07 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Neva Road. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
9:34 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
9:51 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 10th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for a defective headlamp.
10:02 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
11:11 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
11:42 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
Sunday, March 19th
5:13 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at Neva Road and Memory Lane. The driver was advised to get license plates on their vehicle as soon as possible.
11:40 AM Officers responded to a report of an adult male shoplifter at an area business on Neva Road. Officers cited the male subject for retail theft.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, March 15th
2:33 PM Officers responded to a report that a vehicle took out several trees on a hill on Hwy. 64. The male driver from Peshtigo was cited for operating while suspended and improper tire depth.
Thursday, March 16th
10:51 AM Officers responded to a call from White Lake School reporting that a male student was being disorderly. The male student was cited for disorderly conduct.
5:47 PM Officers were at an address on 5th Avenue. A male subject was arrested for obstructing and felony bail jumping. Another male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping and possession of methamphetamine. An officer injured their right hand in a fall during a foot pursuit with the first male subject. The injury was minor. A report was filed.
Friday, March 17th
2:22 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a car in the north ditch on Hwy. 47. The vehicle was running and the lights were on. The caller told officers that when the called out, no one answered. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense, operating after revocation (operating while intoxicated related), open intoxicants and given a ten day warning for no proof of insurance.
5:23 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a white Chevy truck that was crossing the center line and had been driving in the opposite lane. The caller told officers that the vehicle almost went into the ditch on Pioneer Road, but it stopped short of the ditch and continued down Pioneer Road. Officers talked with the female driver in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. She stated that she was not used to driving the truck and was not good at winter driving.
7:15 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject from Wausau reporting that he went into the ditch on Hwy. 45 just south of Antigo. A state crash report was completed.
10:44 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting an accident on Hwy. 47 approximately one mile west of Maple Grove Road. The female driver was not injured, but took down a road sign. Property damage only. The Highway Department was notified about the sign.
12:15 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting an accident that occurred on his property on Forman Road that morning. The caller told officers that apparently he forgot to take his truck out of gear and it dragged him for a little way and then went across the road. There was damage to the driver’s side, undercarriage and front end of his truck. An accident report was filed.
1:22 PM Officers received a call from a female subject from White Lake reporting that she slid into the ditch at Cty. Rd. S and Crestwood Road. Her husband had helped her get the vehicle out of the ditch. A state report was completed.
3:32 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a vehicle just went into the ditch on N. Langlade Road and rolled his vehicle. The vehicle was described as a late 90’s Cadillac.
9:00 PM Officers came upon an underage drinking party in a field west of Cty. Rd. T and W. Elcho Road. One male subject was cited for obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage drinking. Another male subject was cited for felony bail jumping. Two other male subjects were cited for underage drinking and a final male subject was cited for possession of alcohol.
Saturday, March 18th
6:18 PM Officers responded to a call from a local towing company reporting that they had received a call from some individuals who were lost and stuck with their small SUV on an ATV trail somewhere between Sherry Road and Smokey Road. Officers were able to make contact with the male and female subjects that were stuck. The tow truck was unable to make it to their location. The White Lake Fire Department was contacted to take their four-wheeler to the subjects’ location and get them out of the woods. The fire department was able to get the individuals and their vehicle out.
Monday, March 20th
7:25 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that her dog kennel, a 6 foot by 6 foot chain link fence, was stolen sometime the day before from her residence on Antigo Street in Elcho. It occurred sometime between 2:00 PM on 3/19 and 11:00 AM on 3/20. Officers were investigating.
