Gerald W. Stelter, 68, Eland, died on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on December 10, 1948 in Wausau, the son of Beatrice (Miller) Stelter, Eland and the late Homer Stelter. Gerald was a United States Army Veteran and was a machinist at Hammerblow Corporation and also worked for 3M, Wausau until his retirement. He was a collector of many things and enjoyed traveling, visiting, and attending flea markets and steam engine and tractor shows.
Survivors include his mother, Beatrice Stelter, Eland; Siblings, Peggy Stelter, Wittenberg, Barbara Stelter, Clintonville, Dennis Stelter, Eland, Mary (Bill) Fandrey, Norrie and Linda (Jerry) Spaude, Eland; six nieces and nephews, Billy (Jessica) Fandrey, April Fandrey, Matthew (Ashley) Fandrey, Mike and Mandy Stelter and Jennifer (Craig) Brennan and great nieces and nephews, Griffin Fandrey, Cameron Fandrey, Bella Fandrey, Marcus Brennan, Jesse Fandrey and Jameson Fandrey.
The funeral service will be held at 2PM on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Michael Schram will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, town of Norrie, Marathon County. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:30PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
