She met the love of her life; Donald, her senior year and they married September 10, 1960. Karen was an exceptional homemaker for many years while in Oconomowoc, WI and served many administrative and accounting roles over the years including her retirement from Howard Young Medical Center in 2006.

Karen shared her love of the outdoors with her family and friends through gardening, bird hunting and softball, but most importantly her passion for fishing, with many hours of quality time spent on the water teaching her children and grandchildren.
