Margie Lorraine Royce, 81, of White Lake, went to be with Jesus on April 10th, 2017.

She was born in White Lake to the late Clarence and Rosabelle (Oliver) Royce on September 17, 1935. She attended grades one through twelve in White Lake, graduated from Langlade County Teacher’s College in Antigo, and Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana.

Lorraine loved children and wanted to become a teacher as a child. She enjoyed one year teaching in Langlade, and thirty-four years in the Zion and Winthrop Harbor public schools. During these years, she also taught Sunday School at First Assembly of God in Kenosha. Retiring in 1991, she moved back to White Lake in 1992.

She was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God, where she taught Sunday School, Kid’s Club, and was involved in Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge and Women’s Ministries for several years.

Lorraine is survived by a sister-in-law, Norma (nee Luther) Royce, and nephews, Greg, Mike, and Scott, and their families. Having loved and enjoyed Dylan from day one, he has always been very special to her.

She is also survived by many wonderful, caring friends, who did so much to help her, both in White Lake and the Kenosha/Zion area.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, two half-brother, Luther and Herbert, her brother, Gerald, and her sister, Irene.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 17th at Four Corners Assembly of God from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Memorial Celebration of Life following at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Marvin Kindle will officiate.

Private burial was held at Langlade Cemetery.

Service in care of Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
