Weather finally cooperative, Antigo boys tennis sweeps SP Pacelli 7-0
For the Antigo Times
After rain forced the Antigo tennis team to reschedule their last three meets, it was nice to finally get the boys out on the courts and they took full advantage of the opportunity, defeating Stevens Point Pacelli 7-0.
The boys dropped a total of seven games in the whole match.
“Overall I was very pleased with the teams performance,” Coach Dave Zalewski said. “It would have been easy for the boys to let down in the second sets but every person kept up the intensity. The hard work the team is putting forth in practice is paying dividends. I’m very encouraged by their improvement.”
Next up for Antigo tennis is Xavier on Thursday, played at Clintonville, at 4 PM.
