Carol J. Hoffmeister, 83
She was born March 10, 1934 in Antigo, daughter of the late Roy and Julia (Jicha) Marvin. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1952, and married Richard “Dick” Hoffmeister on February 13, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Antigo.
Mrs. Hoffmeister was a homemaker. She also worked at Briggs and Stratton, Johnson Electric Coil, a local health care agency as a home health care aide, and helped operate the family dairy farm. She loved birds and flowers, and enjoyed spending winters in Texas and Arizona.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include 2 daughters, Diane (Duane) Kryka of Antigo and Debbie (Steve) Spurgeon of Antigo; a son, Daniel (Laura) Hoffmeister of Antigo; a brother, Ken (Erla) Marvin of Antigo; 7 grandchildren, David (Judy) Kielcheski, Tim (Stacey) Kielcheski, Jesse (Michael) Hoffmeister, Joe (Savanah) Hoffmeister, Kimberley Spurgeon, Katalin Spurgeon, and Christopher Spurgeon; and 3 great-grandchildren, Mason, Nolan, and Aiden Kielcheski.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Huhn; 4 brothers, Jerry, Norman, Robert, and Mike Marvin; a great-granddaughter, Madyson Kielcheski; 3 sisters-in-law, Margie, Marion, and Phyllis Marvin; and a son-in-law, Michael Kielcheski.
A private service was held with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
