Antigo Memorial Day Parade May 29th 8am Meet at the Hudson Street Bridge for Service of Remembrance for the American service people who died at sea. Floats & walking units will meet at 9am at Eastview Medical & Rehab located at 729 Park Street. The parade will travel west on 5th Avenue to the courthouse to the Vietnam Memorial. Play & Learn June 1st 9:30-11am N4013 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents and children to do together. The activity will build skills for school readiness and milestone achievement. Quarterly Ages and Stages questionnaires are made available to parents and caregivers to assist families in helping their children to reach age based development milestones. LAMBA Thursday Night Mountain Bike Ride June 1st 5pm Hwy 64 Mountain Bike Trail Head, White Lake. 3rd Annual Denim & Diamonds Event June 2nd 5:30-7:30pm Rosewood Barn, N10830 Highway 17 South, Rhinelander. Celebrate for a good cause. The YMCA of the Northwoods is holding the 3rd Annual Denim & Diamonds Gala. The fundraiser Gala will include heavy appetizers, drink tickets, entertainment by The Chillbillys Band, dancing, 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets, live auction; all with a casual theme of denim and diamonds. All proceeds from the event will benefit the YMCA of the Northwoods Annual Support Campaign, which provides Y scholarships and programming for those in the Northwoods who would not otherwise have access to healthy programs and services. Event tickets are $40 per person. Get your event ticket today as space is limited. The 50/50 raffle tickets are $10 each or 6 for $50. The winner does not need to be present to win. Event tickets and 50/50 raffle tickets are available from Y board members and at the Y front desk.

Antigo Annual City Wide Garage Sale June 3rd 8am-4pm Antigo. There will be dozens of participants in the city-wide garage sales again! This popular event has something for everyone. Maps of the garage sale locations are available in the Antigo Times/Shopper, the Chamber of Commerce office & the Antigo Daily Journal office.
Free Kids Fishing Contest June 3rd 8am-3pm at Veteran’s Memorial Park, Tomahawk. The contest will once again feature 2 age groups (ages 10 & under and 11-15) with prizes awarded for the 3 biggest fish caught in 5 different fish categories including crappie, perch, bluegill, walleye and northern pike. Registration for the tournament is at Veterans Memorial Park from 8-11am. where rules for the contest will be provided. The actual tournament takes place on Lake Mohawksin waters from 9am-3pm. The first 100 youths to register for the tournament will receive a free goodie bag, bait to use for the contest and a coupon from Dairy Queen to fill up after an afternoon of fishing. Tomahawk Fishing Unlimited (TFU) volunteers will be on hand during the contest to help with any baiting of hooks, removing a fish or even untangling any knots young anglers might need assistance with.
