Ida Kathryn (Eibenholzl) Buss passed away at the age of 86 on April 29, 2017 at Hope Health & Rehabilitation in Lomira, Wisconsin. Ida was born August 24, 1930 in Mattoon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Anton and Anna (nee Celeda) Eibenholzl.

Ida was born, raised, and went to school in Mattoon, Wisconsin. In the early 1950s, she traveled to Milwaukee where she worked at Master Lock. Ida married Earl G. Buss on May 23, 1953. They lived in Tilleda, Wisconsin a short time before moving to Milwaukee. They lived in Milwaukee for 30 years, raising 3 children. Ida was a homemaker, school and church volunteer, and worked in the cafeteria at Pius XI High School for 7 years. In 1985 Earl and Ida retired to a farm outside Mattoon where they spent many happy years.

Ida and Earl were blessed with 64 beautiful years together living their marriage vows to the fullest. She adored her family and grandchildren. The grandkids brightened her days right until the end. Ida loved to cook, bake, and share meals with loved ones. Another passion of hers was fishing. She was an accomplished fisherman who could make a filet knife sing! Love and caring was what Ida was made of. She always put others before herself. May her love and kindness live on in all whose lives she touched.

Ida is survived by her loving husband Earl. She is a loving mother to Joe (Michele) Buss, Kathleen (Steve) Schauer, and Earl (Trisha) Buss. Ida is a loving grandma to Melissa and Aaron Buss, Erika and Monica Schauer, and Martina and Renee Buss. Ida was preceeded in death by her parents, siblings Mary, Barbara,  Joseph, John, Edward, Anna, Agnes, Mike, and Carl Probst, along with Antion,  Joe, and Frank Eibenholzl. Ida is survived by her sister Mary Whitehead (nee Eibenholzl) along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Parish, Phlox.  Fr. Charles Hoffmann and Deacon Tom Hartman will officiate.  Interment will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, town of Hutchins, Shawano County.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 1PM until the time of Mass at the church.
