Officers responded to a call from a male on 5th Avenue reporting that he witnessed a female subject being struck by a vehicle on 5th Avenue in front of an area business. Officers discovered that the female driver of the striking vehicle had just left an area business on Superior Street, going eastbound on 4th Avenue, and nearly struck two other vehicles head on as she came around the corner towards 5th Avenue. The female subject then failed to stop at the stop sign and attempted to go west on 5th Avenue. She then crossed 5th Avenue and struck a legally parked car. The female owner of the parked car was standing by the rear of the car, still in the roadway. The other female’s vehicle struck both the car and the female subject, throwing her up across the sidewalk and then she struck the neighboring building. The striking vehicle then continued, going up onto the sidewalk and striking the building. It then continued westbound on the sidewalk another 100 feet across the bridge and stopping on the sidewalk. Both subjects involved were treated at area hospitals. No other details are available at this time.
