Aspirus Langlade Hospital welcomes new Chief Executive Officer

Andrew (Andy) Barth has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aspirus Langlade Hospital upon the retirement of David Schneider.  Mr. Barth assumed his role effective June 14, 2017.

Andy comes to Aspirus Langlade Hospital with a diverse background in strategic planning, physician relations and operations.  Most recently, Andy served as Group Director of Physician Alignment and Strategy for Centura Health, a 17-hospital system based in Englewood, Colorado.  Prior to this role, Andy was Director of Ambulatory Services at Froedert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Barth has extensive experience in leadership roles which has included working in an academic medical center and two community-based healthcare systems.  This experience also includes working within Catholic Healthcare and in rural healthcare settings.

According to Janelle Markgraf, Director Human Resources & Off Campus Services, “A national executive search firm was engaged to assist the organization in recruiting a healthcare executive with the proven experience, leadership traits and cultural fit to be successful.”

Mr. Barth holds a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Andy and his wife Anna are have three children and are looking forward to relocating to the Antigo area as he begins his role at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.        The couple is happy to be returning to their home state of Wisconsin.
