Hodag Water Shows June 25th-August 20th (Sun. & Wed.) 7pm Hodag Park, Boom Lake, 1103 Thayer St., Rhinelander. HWS performs a show that features acts such as ballet, jump, swivel skiing, trick skiing, barefooting, doubles, trios, wakeboarding, and pyramid. Members range in age from 6 to almost 50 and some of the members have been with the team for more than 30 years. Soccer Boot Camp June 26th-30th 5:30-7pm Saratoga Park, 1235 Nantasket St., Antigo. Antigo High School boys’ varsity soccer coach, Ben Wilhelm will lead a week long soccer boot camp open to middle school and high school boys and girls. This camp is for grades 6-12. (as of Sept. 1st) The goal of the week is to develop player’s individual skills and prepare them for the upcoming middle school summer soccer league as well as their middle school and high school soccer seasons. We will do drills and small sided games, and give players tools to practice on their own. This boot camp week is open to players of any skill level and you may attend as few or as many days as you’re able! The camp is free and a t-shirt is included. 4th of July in Minocqua July 4th 3-10pm Downtown, Minocqua. The festivities begin with the kiddie parade at 3:45pm pre-registration is not required, but children should gather on the sidewalks near Redman Realty (corner of Park Street West and Hwy. 51 South) by 3:15pm. The main parade starts at 4pm. Watch the horses, floats, fire trucks, dancers, antique automobiles along with marching bands pass by. After the parade, head to Torpy Park for a free musical performance by the Lakeland Community Concert Band at 5:30pm. The Min-Aqua Bats will perform a special show for the July 4th crowd beginning at 7pm at the Aqua Bowl on Lake Minocqua. Come a little early to watch the Boat Parade pass by the Aqua Bowl at 6:15pm. After watching the parade & the water ski show, head to your favorite viewing area on land or water & settle in for the remainder of the night.
