Iconic Medicine Lake bar and restaurant reopens June 2017
For the Antigo Times
On June 16, 2017, the long-standing Pine Isle on Medicine Lake reopened as Pike’s Pine Isle Lodge. Father/son duo Jim and Josh Pike of Antigo act as owners and operators. The facility is operating first as a bar, with the addition of food and special events in the coming weeks.
Located on over 200 feet of waterfront, Pine Isle is one of the few bar and restaurant establishments on the Three Lakes side of the chain and offers an inviting outdoor space with spectacular views. Pine Isle will be open year-round and is accessible by boat, car or other recreational vehicle.
Josh Pike, a 2008 graduate of UW-Madison, spent the last eight years working in the mortgage industry in Chicago and Los Angeles before returning to the Northwoods to pursue his dream of owning his own bar and restaurant. Josh spent many years working behind the bar in various Madison establishments throughout college and his early adult years and is enthusiastic about reconnecting with his roots and being able to serve the locals and visitors to Pike’s Pine Isle Lodge.
Jim Pike, a longtime Antigo resident, spends his daytime hours as a City of Antigo employee. His hobbies have frequently centered on bartending at local Antigo establishments, including the local chapter of the Elk’s Lodge. He is looking forward to working with his son and turning his hobby into a successful business.
Pike’s Pine Isle Lodge is still hiring for multiple bartender, kitchen, and waitstaff positions. If interested, please email resume to [email protected] or call 608-358-4841.
Pike’s Pine Isle Lodge will be open daily at 11 a.m.
