ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, July 3rd
1:18 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. A subject was arrested on a probation warrant.
2:09 PM Officers responded to report of a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of area business on Hwy. 64. A minor fender bender only. A non-reportable accident report was filed.
11:29 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was cited for operating while suspended and no proof of insurance.
Tuesday, July 4th
11:35 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. X. A subject had a warrant out of Shawano County. The subject was escorted to the Safety Building to post bond.
1:27 PM Officers responded to a report of three girls and a boy breaking into a building and coming out with candy at Castle Park at Field Street. Officers had witnessed this group of kids just prior to the call. Officers questions two juvenile subjects who admitted to being in the warming house. They also admitted to being the subjects in a prior break-in, in which cabinets were broken and candy was stolen.
2:29 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on the north side parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. An accident report was completed.
4:53 PM Officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street. The driver was cited for speed.
6:24 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for speed.
6:30 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Neva Road and Center Street. Vehicle 1 was northbound on Neva Road and turned left into the path of Vehicle 2 that was southbound. Property damage only. A state report was filed. The male driver of one of the vehicles was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
9:35 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that while on Koszarek Road for the fireworks, a truck went into the ditch and then got back out. A very intoxicated male subject got out of the truck with a beer. The caller told officers that he could barely walk. When the male subject saw the caller, he got back into his truck and left. The caller followed him. Officers stopped the vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Dorr Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 4th offense. A female passenger was arrested on two Shawano County Sheriff’s Office warrants.
Wednesday, July 5th
3:15 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive-off of $10. The vehicle was a dark gray Toyota pulling a red/maroon boat that left going southbound on Superior Street. Officers were able to identify the driver. The male driver was instructed by officers to go back and pay for the gas.
8:36 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Arctic Street and Badger Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and felony bail jumping. They were also cited for non-registration and no proof of insurance.
Thursday, July 6th
2:15 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a scraggly man that had been coming in to try and get a key made, but the subject didn’t have the vehicle. He had gotten angry when they refused. The caller told officers that now the male subject came in with just his boxer shorts on. The male subject was described as tall and skinny with scraggly brown hair.
4:24 PM Officers responded to a report of minor accident in front of an area business on Hwy. 64. A crash report was completed.
Friday, July 7th
12:34 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that a hit & run accident occurred in their parking lot. The striking vehicle was a red car that left in an unknown direction. The owner of the struck vehicle was standing by her gold Buick Lucerne. The owner of the struck vehicle gave officers the license plate number of the striking vehicle. The driver of the striking vehicle was identified. An accident report was filed. A driver condition report was filed.
1:03 PM Officers responded to a report of a two car accident in the parking lot of an area business on Clermont Street. Vehicle 1 was westbound in the parking lot attempting to exit the parking lot onto Clermont Street. As Vehicle 1 went past Vehicle 2, Vehicle 2 attempted to back out of a parking spot. The trailer hitch on Vehicle 2 struck and then caught the bumper of Vehicle 1 as it went past, partially tearing it off.
3:12 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that another vehicle struck her parked Pontiac Bonneville on 2nd Avenue. An accident report was completed.
3:17 PM Officers responded to a report of a small girl by the train on Superior Street. The caller told officers that the girl could not tell them her name, where she lived or anything. Officers were able to determine the identity of the female child. The girl had gotten out of her house on 6th Avenue numerous times over the last month. Officers made phone contact with the child’s father who would pick her up.
9:09 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that a Native American female subject stole some liquor and left the store in a Black Cadillac Escalade. The caller gave officers the license plate number. The vehicle left southbound on Hwy. 45. The caller told officers that there were other subjects in the vehicle also. A teletype was sent to Shawano, Forrest and Menominee counties to be on the look-out for the vehicle. Officers were investigating.
10:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on S. Superior Street reporting that about $1,000 worth of lures were taken out of his boat while it was parked in his driveway. The caller told officers that the Rapala lures were in 8 clear tackle boxes. A pair of binoculars was also taken. The caller had been home at the time of the theft. Officers observed tracks in the grass. Officers talked with some neighbors. The tracks appeared to come from only one person and were going in only one direction.
Saturday, July 8th
12:43 AM Officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on 5th Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for a defective tail light.
3:55 PM Officers responded to call from a female reporting that her vehicle was struck while it was parked in a municipal lot at 4th Avenue and Clermont Street. It was a hit and run. The suspect was unknown.
4:02 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that a vehicle that came through the drive thru had a baby lying on the front seat. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
7:50 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Charlotte Street and Hwy. 64. The driver was cited for operating while registration suspended.
9:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.
9:49 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kelly Street. The driver was cited for operating after suspension.
11:56 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Lincoln Street reporting that he was in his yard having a bonfire and had shot off a couple of firecrackers. His neighbor then came outside with a gun and fired a shot into the ground and told him he better not shoot off any more firecrackers. The caller told officers that he was concerned because his eight year old daughter had been outside with him. Several subjects that had been around the fire saw the incident. Officers went and spoke with the neighbor. The male subject admitted that he had taken his rifle out. He had some 30’06 bullets from WWII with flares in them and used one of those. He told officers that he had been sleeping when they started using the firecrackers. He also told officers that he has had problems with the neighbors in the past and felt that it was the only way to get their attention. Officers explained to him that it was not a good way, and to contact them in the future. The male subject was also told that it was illegal to fire firearms in the city. He was cited for discharging a firearm in the city.
Sunday, July 9th
1:55 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male subject on 5th Avenue reporting that his grandson was out of control and had been threatening others with a knife but he no longer had it. The male subject was on probation. No alcohol was involved. The male subject was cited for disorderly conduct.
3:49 PM Officers responded to a minor two vehicle accident at 9th Avenue and Superior Street. The female driver of one vehicle was cited for operating while suspended, following too close and having no insurance.
8:05 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that a male and female subject were southbound on S. Hudson Street from Gruber Street and the caller believed they were involved in some type of drug deal with possibly a blue Toyota. They were now westbound on Gruber Street. The caller told officers that they had overheard them talking about having money and having their dope. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
8:12 PM Officers responded to a call from male reporting a verbal argument between multiple parties in the parking lot behind an area business on 5th Avenue. The caller told officers that he couldn’t even remember what they were all fighting about. A female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
8:52 PM Officers responded to an anonymous call reporting that two female subjects on 5th Avenue were planning on taking the vehicle of a female subject that was just arrested. The caller stated that neither subject had a valid driver’s license. The vehicle was gone upon officer’s arrival.
9:00 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on 5th Avenue requesting assistance to get back into his mother’s apartment. He told officers that someone had locked him out and won’t open the door. Officers tried to assist the male subject, but a relative of the male subject refused to open the door. The male subject’s mother had been arrested earlier in the day. The male subject was taken to a secure location.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, July 5th
8:35 AM Officers received a call from a female subject reporting that she had received an IRS scam call and she had given out her information, before she realized that it was a scam. She had given the caller her social security number and date of birth. The caller told officers that her son would help her use identitytheft.gov to walk her through the process of credit theft. She was not out any money at that time. She would call officers back if she needed further assistance.
8:50 AM Officers received a call from a male subject on Woodland Drive reporting that one of his calves had been attacked the day before. He had called the Department of Natural Resources and they determined that the calf was attacked by a dog. The caller told officers that the calf would be ok, but it had bite marks and the tip of its tail had been bitten off. The male subject told officers that he suspected that the weekend neighbor’s dog may have done it. The dog was described as mostly black with a white stripe on its chest with a red collar and it looked like a pit bull/greyhound mix. Officers were investigating.
9:39 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a truck hit a telephone pole on Cty. Rd. B, north of Cty. Rd. C. The caller told officers that the male driver was walking around. The vehicle was towed. The telephone pole was snapped. Frontier was notified. A state report and a driver’s condition report were completed.
1:49 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was just passed by a blue semi-truck, in a no passing zone, going up a hill westbound from Elton on Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that it was a flat-bed truck carrying three items. Officers were unable to locate the semi. A teletype was sent to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office about the vehicle. They were able to stop the driver.
2:19 PM Officers responded to a report of a red, possibly Mitsubishi vehicle in the ditch on the southeast corner of W. 1st Avenue and Cty. Rd. H. A man was standing by the vehicle.
4:12 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female reporting that a maroon Ford truck with a white topper was all over the road going northbound on Cty. Rd. B near Bass Lake. Officers were able to locate the vehicle in the owner’s garage at his residence. The male subject admitted to officers that he may have been driving badly. He told officers that he was low on blood and may have had a mini blackout. He said that he had a Dr.’s appointment the next day. Officers told him to get a ride there. Officers wrote the male subject for re-exam.
7:09 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on Rangeline Road reporting a possible theft from her house within the last week. She had discovered that she was missing a large sum of cash. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else was missing. The female told officers that she was unaware of anyone that would have taken the money. A written statement was taken.
9:23 PM Officers responded to a call from a passerby reporting a two car accident with 3 people hurt on Hwy. 45, ¼ mile north of Hwy. 47. Both vehicles were towed. The male driver of one vehicle was cited for following too closely. The female driver of the other vehicle was issued a 7 day correction notice for no proof of insurance.
Thursday, July 6th
9:33 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 55 and Pickerel Lake Road. The female driver from Neopit was arrested on Shawano County and Manitowoc Police Department warrants. She was also cited for operating while suspended, 5th offense.
11:32 AM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report fraudulent charges on her debit card. There were two $200 transactions on 7/3/17 from Chicago. The subject’s bank was aware and reimbursed her for the fraudulent transactions.
12:41 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a red semi-truck pulling a brown trailer, with no license plate, was driving into the ditch and swerving over the centerline while northbound on Cty. Rd. H, north of Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that the semi also almost hit a tractor. The semi then turned westbound onto Cty. Rd. N. Officers were unable to locate the semi.
2:10 PM Officers received a call from a female subject reporting fraudulent charges on her credit card for a total amount of $4,999 that occurred from 5/3/17 to 6/9/17. There were a total of 35 charges. None of the charges were local. The female subject told officers that she realized what had happened when she went to pay her bill. The female told officers that she had already cancelled the card, reported it to her credit card company and they were investigating it, but they wanted her to file a complaint with the Sheriff’s department.
5:06 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Pine Street. A male and a female subject were arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Friday, July 7th
1:46 PM Officers responded to an anonymous complaint of a red Pontiac that ran another vehicle onto the shoulder of Hwy. 64, west of W. 5th Avenue. The caller told officers that the vehicle was also all over the road and was on the wrong side of the road. The vehicle then turned south and then went westbound on Cty. Rd. Y into Marathon County. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. A teletype was sent to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office about the vehicle.
Saturday, July 8th
12:08 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that she ran into the ditch at Hwy. 45 and Old 26 Road, causing considerable damage to her vehicle. The vehicle was towed. A crash report was completed.
1:41 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a two vehicle accident at Orchard Road and Cty. Rd. F. Property damage only. A crash report was completed.
4:54 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a dark green 90’s Dodge Neon that had passed him westbound on Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that he had his cruise control set for 60 MPH and the vehicle had passed him, in a no passing zone, as if he was standing still. Officers stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. The male driver was given a verbal warning about his driving habits, graduated driver’s license restrictions, a defective exhaust and defective tail lights. Officers also placed a call to the male driver’s father.
11:09 PM Officers responded to a call from two male subjects reporting that the vehicle they were passengers in crashed on Sherry Road. They told officers that another male subject was driving, but he ran off when they couldn’t get the vehicle out of the ditch. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. Officers spoke with the supposed driver of the vehicle. He told officers that he wasn’t in the area that day. Officers also confirmed that one of the male subjects was seen pumping gas in the vehicle before the crash. Both male subjects were cited for obstruction.
Sunday, July 9th
6:26 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he crashed his car on Cty. Rd. S, south of Cty. Rd. A. He told officers that the vehicle was partially on the road. The vehicle was towed. The driver told officers that his neck was sore, but no ambulance was needed.
10:00 AM Officers received a call from a male reporting that an older, maroon Pontiac Grand Am eastbound on Hwy. 64 had tailgated him, passed on a double yellow line and was speeding. The vehicle then turned south on Hwy. 55. Officers stopped the vehicle at Hwy. 55 and Doemel Lane. Officers advised the male driver of the complaint and warned him about his driving habits.
2:47 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting she was on Hwy. 45 northbound near Cty. Rd. G and a vehicle had been driving in northbound, in both lanes. The caller told officers that when she was next to the vehicle, she blew her horn, but the driver appeared “out of it.” The vehicle was last seen westbound on 10th Avenue. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
10:09 PM Officers were out with a vehicle and three male subjects behind an area business on Superior Street. All three male subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. One of the subjects was also cited for underage alcohol.
Tuesday, July 11th
7:54 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a small, blue, “junkie” car tried to pass her on Kettlebowl Hill and almost caused a three car accident. The vehicle was last seen westbound on Hwy. 52. The caller also told officers that the vehicle’s front bumper was hanging down on the passenger side, the front plate was crooked and it had no muffler. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Wednesday, July 12th
9:41 AM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting the theft of a generator from a residence under construction on the north side of Hwy. 47, west of Cty. Rd. D.
