Faye Buchanan, of White Lake, died peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center attended by her sister Jean Wilson. She was 89 years old. She was born on April 14, 1928 in Wauconda, a daughter of Jack and Ella (Shannon) Buchanan.

She was a graduate of White Lake High School.

She was employed at Yawkey-Bissell Hardwood Flooring in White Lake for 30 years.

Faye loved life, laughed easily and adored animals, especially tigers. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include a sister, Jean Wilson, Antigo; a brother, Terry Buchanan, New Orleans; a nephew Brian Wilson, five nieces: Laurel Landis, Jeanne Sill, Lisa Buchanan, Theresa Smith and Esper Buchanan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty (Lloyd) Perry and Nolie Krack; a brother, Jim (Marge) Buchanan; brother-in-law Glen “Pat” Wilson.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Hope Presbyterian Church, White Lake with Rev. Dick Kendall, officiating. Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
