James Allen Stenseth, 61
James “Jim” Allen Stenseth, of Antigo, died at his home in Antigo on July 3, 2017. He was 61 years old.
He was born October 18, 1955 in Eau Claire, son of the late Rosella (Knutson) and Dwayne Stenseth. He married Roxeann “Roxie” Schulz on May 4, 1989, and she survives.
Prior to living in Antigo, Jim resided in Strum, WI and Aurora, IL.
He was a good stepfather, with great love for his stepchildren. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, and won many horseshoe tournaments. He also liked to spend time fishing and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He came from a musical family, and always loved playing and listening to music.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Roxie, include a stepdaughter, Ginny (Justin) Keen of Seymour; 2 stepsons, John Lee Schulz of Prairie du Chien, and Trevor Underhile of Prairie du Chien; 11 step-granchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Brittany, Ally, Noah, Konnor, Richard, Ruby, Sarah, Sofia, and Eli; 2 step-great grandchildren, Brantley and Elliot; 2 sisters, Kathy (Terry) Hall of Hickory, KY, and Linda Franzen of Eleva; a brother, Richard (Pat) Stenseth of Lockport, IL; and several brothers-in-law.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Steve and Mike Stenseth; his parents-in-law, Betty and Leland “Buck” Schulz; and a brother-in-law, Donald Schulz.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 Saturday at the funeral home.
