Allison “Ali” Menting, 24
Allison “Ali” Menting, of Antigo, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She was 24 years old. Ali was born on June 12, 1993 in Marshfield, a daughter of Steven and Diane (Curley) Menting of Antigo.
Ali graduated from Antigo High School and attended the Adult Day Services/Prevocational program at the Health Care Center in Antigo. She competed at Special Olympics in bowling and track and field. She was active in the Triple Progress 4-H club and enjoyed showing chickens and pigs at the fair.
At home her hobbies included swimming, completing jigsaw puzzles, riding bike and being around the farm animals. She was very social and enjoyed greeting and visiting with people.
Survivors including her parents are a sister, Marcie (Mike) Gottschalk, Antigo; nieces and nephew Madelyn, Melaina and Michael “Trip”; maternal grandmother, Dolores Curley, Antigo; paternal grandparents, Matthew and Evelyn Menting, Phlox.
She was preceded in death by her brother Andrew in infancy, and maternal grandfather, Joseph Curley.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday August 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church, Phlox with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Deacon Tony DeBroux officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the church. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
