Arlen swimming duo competes in State Games of America

For the Antigo Times

Heather and Tristin Arlen recently competed in State Games of America in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In order to qualify for this meet the girls had to compete in the Badger State Games and finish in the top three of their events.

The Grand Rapids meet is a national meet and consisted of swimmers from all 50 states and Canada. Both girls did very well.


Tristin Arlen, age 10: 100 IM- 12th place 50 Freestyle- 9th place 50 Butterfly- 11th place 50 Breaststroke- 12th place (Tristin had personal best times in the 50 Butterfly and Breaststroke).

Heather Arlen, age 14: 50 Freestyle- 4th place and Club Record 50 Butterfly- 1st place 100 Freestyle- 6th place 100 Backstroke- 4th place 200 medley relay with Team Wisconsin- 2nd place (Heather had personal best times in the 50 Freestyle and Butterfly; she also attained an Antigo Club Record in the 50 Freestyle).


This was a very exciting meet and the girls were proud to be a part of Team Wisconsin.
