Richard “Dick” Fleischman, 84
Richard “Dick” Fleischman, of Antigo, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 84 years old. He was born on November 12, 1932 in the town of Rolling, a son of George and Celia (Stieber) Fleischman. He married Connie Ayers on June 2, 1962 at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2010.
He attended Fernwood school.
Richard farmed his entire life in the towns of Rolling and Harrison.
He had a passion for hunting, especially deer and coyote.
Richard had a special bond with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and his regular outings with his friend Gil Servi.
He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne (Douglas) Jensen, Antigo, Jodi Fleischman and special friend Mike Waldner, Aniwa; a son, Rick Fleischman, Antigo; eight grandchildren, Ethan Jensen, Sadie (Nicholas) Flores, Abigail Fleischman, Korie Fleischman, Ashley Rector, Heather Gardner, Jessi Gardner, Jordan (Annie Novak) Breitenfeldt; four great-grandchildren, Kayden, Maria, Lucas and Veer; two brothers, Roman Fleischman, Antigo, George (RoseMary) Fleischman, Antigo; two sister-in-laws, Bonnie Fleischman and Luella Adamski both of Antigo.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by two brothers Jerome and Joseph Fleischman; a sister-in-law, Caroline Fleischman.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday August 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann, officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace cemetery .
Visitation will be 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday also at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
