Warrant of the Week:

The Antigo Police Department holds an arrest warrant for Cody J. Derks d.o.b. 07-27-88. The warrant is for failing to pay a fine on a charge of retail theft. Those with information on his whereabouts are urged to call the Antigo Police Department at (715) 627-6411 or Langlade County Crimestoppers at 715-627-NAIL (6245). Callers may remain anonymous. You can also view a list of all warrants at our website, www.antigo-city.org.

License Plate Frames:

Several vehicles on the road today have license plate frames. These frames surround the entire license plate and dealerships often use them as advertisement when a vehicle is purchased. They are also used as a decorative item supporting your favorite hobby, car/truck manufacturer, or athletic team. Often times this operation is illegal.

If your car has a license plate frame, the registration stickers displaying the month and the year of the registration have to be visible. If the frame allows this, the frame is legal. If the stickers cannot be seen, the frame is illegal.

Also, the registration stickers need to be in the correct place. The month is displayed on the lower left corner, and the year is displayed in the lower right corner on the rear license plate. It is illegal to place the, “year” disarranged on the license plate. When you re-register your vehicle, cover the old sticker with the new one.
