Bonnie Jean Leonard, age 54, of Town of Harrison, died at her home Sunday, September 10, 2017 under the care of her family.

Bonnie was born on July 7, 1963 to the late Francis and Irma Rose (Franzen) Zipperer.

She was united in marriage to Duane Leonard on August 10, 1978 in Shawano.

Bonnie attended school in Whitelaw, WI until her family moved to the Antigo area. She attended Antigo High School and later went on to receive her nursing degree.

Bonnie was a homemaker, drove school bus, worked as a punch press operator and was a certified nursing assistant. Upon becoming a registered nurse, Bonnie worked for Homme Home, Aspirus Langlade Hospital, Wausau Aspirus Hospital and Maple Lane Manor.

Bonnie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Phlox.

Bonnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, camping and live music festivals.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by 3 daughters Tanya Smith of Gresham, Angela (fiancé Johnny Brantley) of Green Bay, Patricia (significant other Bryson Landwehr) of Mattoon, a son Jacob Leonard attending UW Stout, 7 grandchildren Tori and Taylor Smith, Thessieus, Josetlyn, and Delilah Brantley, Jada and Noah Rickert, 4 sisters Connie (Ray) Warpehoski of Birnamwood, Vicki (Ron) Schroepfer of Bonduel, Karen (Kevin) Martin of Mattoon, Michelle (fiance Terry Frahm) Zipperer of Mosinee, 2 brothers Mark (Sharon) Zipperer of Merrill, Ken (Amy) Zipperer of Town of Hewitt, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a niece Samantha Zipperer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Phlox. Reverend Charles Hoffmann will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and on Friday at the church from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery.

Bonnie was an awesome wife and mother. She was grounded in her faith, hardworking, honest, dedicated and fun.
