Peace Lutheran Church and School held its 5th annual car show this past Wednesday and despite it being one of the colder times the event was held, the turnout was great.
“It was well attended and was good fellowship,” School Administrator David Reineke said. “We had 47 entries this year and a great variety of vehicles. I’d just like to thank everyone for coming out and bringing their vehicles down. That’s what the car show is all about.”
Reineke also mentioned the numerous sponsors that helped Peace Lutheran host the event, including Thrivent Financial, Culver’s, Badgerland Classics, Edelman’s Meats, Antigo Rental, Cal Brandt, and Bill and Joe Novak. In addition to the cars, trucks and motorcycles abound, Peace Lutheran offered burgers for dinner and a bounce house for the young ones.
In terms of judging, the people’s choice awards went to Pete Schuhmacher in the truck category with his ’85 Chevy, Tammy Guenthner in the car class with her 2007 Mercedes-Benz convertible, and Ken Szitta with his 2016 Indian Vintage motorcycle.
