The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months – 18 years of age if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. Nicolet College Visit Day October 27th 9:30am-Noon Lakeside Center, Nicolet College, 5364 College Dr., Rhinelander. Anyone thinking about attending Nicolet can learn more about the college, its academic programs and the careers that graduates can pursue. Those attending will be able to connect with a career coach to learn about mapping a plan for college, completing the application and paying for college. Students will also have a chance to get a feel for the college’s labs and classrooms & meet with instructors.
Child Screening for the School District of Crandon October 27th 3:30-5pm Crandon Elementary School, Room # 13, 9750 Hwy. 8, Crandon. All children age 3-5 years old are encouraged to come to this event. Your child will participate in a variety of play-based activities to check how they are developing. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get information about child development. Your child will not be separated from you. Haunted Sawmill: Vincent Resurrected October 27th & 28th 6-11pm The Haunted Sawmill, 700 Hendricks St., Merrill. Do you dare come and awake Vincent? After being away, Vincent has found his way back to the Haunted Sawmill. As always, the Haunted Sawmill is a fundraiser to help Boy Scouts in Merrill and the surrounding communities. As part of the event, the Scouts collect food donations from guests in exchange for reduced ticket prices. The Scouts have raised over 10,000 food items to donate to local food pantries since 2011. Ryding is an internationally renowned artist who currently resides in Illinois and teaches at the Art Institute of Chicago. Thinking of three dimensions while printing images of two informs her sketches on paper or wood. The resulting image in the print suggest transparency as lines circle around the form to show both sides as though the shape was made of wire. Refreshments will be served, cash bar.
