Donations sought for Eli Kassler benefit
For the Antigo Times
An 11-year old boy from Antigo, Eli Kassler, was recently diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a particularly difficult form of leukemia to treat. He is currently receiving oral, IV and spinal chemotherapy in Milwaukee and will continue for up to nine months, with additional treatments totaling three years.
Eli is a kind, energetic boy who loves hockey and fishing. Since his diagnoses, the community, along with his family and friends have rallied around Eli. The family encourages the community to like Eli’s Facebook page, Eli’s Warriors, and show him your support. The Facebook page also has a link for his Caring Bridge, a site that gives updates on his condition as well as information about t-shirts, bracelets and a link to YouCaring, a donation site.
Eli is the son of Clint Kassler and Corrie (Rowe) Kassler, with a sister, Emily.
The family is very humbled by the outpouring of kindness and compassion that the community has shown towards Eli and are blessed to be a part of such an amazing town.
The family is planning a benefit to raise funds to help his family offset the exorbitant costs of his treatment and is accepting donations for the cause. The benefit is set for November 11 at North Star Lanes in Antigo, beginning at 4 PM.
Businesses wishing to make donations are encouraged to call either (715) 610-2911 or email [email protected].
