Richard “Dick” Seis, 70

Richard “Dick” Seis, of Antigo, died Friday, September 29, 2017 at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 70 years old. He was born on December 10, 1946 in Antigo, a son of Ervin and Emma (Schmoll) Seis. He married Patricia Adamski on October 28, 1972 in Antigo. She survives.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1965.

As a young man he worked for Sport Marine and drove delivery truck for Arrowhead News, both in Antigo. For 50 years Dick worked at Sheldon’s as a shipping supervisor.

He enjoyed putzing in his garage repairing small engines for family and friends.

He was proud to instill his work ethic to his grandchildren by coordinating their lawn mowing and odd jobs and encouraging good saving habits.

Survivors including his wife are a daughter, Amy Seis and Michael, Antigo; a son, Kevin Seis and Dawn, Antigo; five grandchildren Coral (Alex) Dziamarski, Dylan Seis, Conner, Brady and Anna VandeWeerd; a sister, Cindy (Lawrence) Mortenson, Birnamwood; two brothers, Edward (Jean) Seis, Antigo, Larry Seis, Antigo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Dick’s life will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2017 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and concluding with sharing of memories at 11 a.m.
