Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 11/27/17
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, November 13th
3:23 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a gas drive-off of $15.09 that occurred the day before. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers were investigating.
12:26 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital advising them of a male student from Antigo High School that was there for an overdose. The male student had been drinking vodka during the 4th hour at school. His blood alcohol level was .19. Nothing else was found in his system. He was transferred to a pediatric hospital in Green Bay. The student had made some comments at Langlade hospital that he later denied saying. The boy’s mother told officers that there had been no liquor in their house that she was aware of. The male subject was released from the hospital on 11/15/17.
2:41 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that someone had opened an account in his name and had been making purchases. He had filed a claim through PayPal. PayPal had conducted an investigation and concluded it was fraud. No further action was needed at that time.
Tuesday, November 14th
1:11 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Clermont Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and was also cited for operating after suspension and underage alcohol.
12:43 PM Officers received a call from the owner of an area business on Weed Street reporting that a female customer had some work done for her the day before for $80, but she had left without paying the bill. The female subject had told them that she lost her wallet and the business had given her until noon that day to pay. She had not come by or called. Officers were given the license plate number and description of the vehicle that the female subject was driving. Officers were investigating.
1:28 PM Officers cited a female student for possession of tobacco at Antigo High School.
1:28 PM Officers cited a male student for possession of tobacco at Antigo High School.
1:29 PM Officers cited a 17 year old male subject for disorderly conduct.
1:30 PM Officers cited a female student for possession of tobacco at Antigo High School.
9:12 PM Officers responded to a call reporting a possible pulseless, non-breathing male subject at a residence on Lincoln Street. Upon the officer’s arrival, the male subject was found in the bedroom on the bed. The male subject was unresponsive and not breathing, so he was moved to the floor and compression was started. After a while, the male subject let out a gasp & a pulse returned. The Antigo Fire Department continued compressions. Officers were told that the male subject had taken three oxycodone. The male subject was transported to Langlade Hospital.
Wednesday, November 15th
1:17 PM Officers responded to a call from an area banking institution on Progress Boulevard reporting that they had a counterfeit $100 bill.
3:55 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a female subject on video that was shoplifting. When questioned by officers, the female subject admitted to shoplifting. Some of the items that were taken were recovered at her home. Some items had already been used. The female subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and was referred for retail theft.
4:22 PM Officers responded to multiple reports of a two vehicle accident at Clermont Street and Century Avenue. Vehicle 1 was traveling east. Vehicle 2 was at the stop sign. The driver of vehicle 2 stated that he looked both ways and then proceeded. Vehicle 2 collided with vehicle 1 who had the right of way. Both vehicles were towed.
5:33 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his parked car was just struck, in a parking lot on 3rd Avenue. Vehicle 1 was parked in a legal parking spot. Vehicle 2 was backing out of a parking area and backed into vehicle 1. A report was completed.
11:50 PM Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment on Superior Street. A female subject was arrested on a probation hold and possession of meth.
Thursday, November 16th
10:23 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that someone backed into his car on N. Hogan Street. Vehicle 2 was legally parking in the parking lot of the apartment building. Vehicle 1 was parked next to vehicle 2. The driver of vehicle 1 was backing up and struck vehicle 2 in the passenger rear fender area, causing damage to the rear fender, rear bumper and tailgate.
12:28 PM Officers cited a male student for truancy for missing all or part of 8 unexcused days since the beginning of the school year.
5:14 PM Officers responded to a call from an employee of an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting two male shoplifters. One male subject was cited for retail theft. The second male subject was arrested on a probation hold and for retail theft.
6:05 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a female subject, at a residence on 2nd Avenue, was having a seizure. The caller stated that they were in the garage at the residence. The Antigo Fire Department responded. It appeared that the female subject had taken an overdose of pills.
7:59 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a male subject detained for shoplifting. The male subject was arrested for retail theft along with felony and misdemeanor bail jumping.
9:04 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a female subject detained for shoplifting. The female subject was arrested for retail theft. She had tried to take $639.46 worth of items from the business.
Friday, November 17th
7:25 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on S. Hudson Street reporting that at about 7:10am that morning she was in the garage putting her two year old child in the car when someone wiggled the back door to the garage, trying to get in. The caller told officers that she walked back into her house to see in the back yard and just saw a shadow of someone standing there. She told officers that she then left in her vehicle and went around the block and the subject was running through another back yard, heading north. She stated that she could not tell if the subject was male or female. They had a hood over their head. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate anyone.
2:22 PM Officers cited a female student with disorderly conduct for having a knife in her locker at Antigo High School.
2:24 PM Officers cited a female student for possession of tobacco/nicotine at Antigo High School.
2:28 PM Officers cited a male student for possession of tobacco at Antigo High School.
2:29 PM Officers cited a female student for possession of tobacco at Antigo High School.
2:30 PM Officers cited a female student for possession of tobacco at Antigo High School.
4:14 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital reporting that there was a female there wishing to report an assault of her daughter, that occurred on a school bus at Antigo Middle School. Officers spoke with the female student who said that she was punched in the back of the head by another female student while on the bus and was punched again on the side of the head by the same female when they were off the bus. Officers were investigating.
Saturday, November 18th
7:17 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female on 7th Avenue reporting that a male subject, wearing all black was crouched down on the side of the house. When the female caller asked the subject who he was, he swore at her and told her to call the police. Officers were unable to locate the male subject.
Sunday, November 19th
12:24 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male on 3rd Avenue reporting that his wife had a seizure and was now unconscious. The caller told officers that she had no history of seizures. The Antigo Fire Department requested officer assistance. The female subject regained consciousness and initially did not wasn’t to go to the hospital. Officers were told that the female had taken a Vicodin earlier in the day. They also found out that the female subject was detoxing from alcohol. She was transported to Langlade Hospital.
4:29 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital requesting assistance for a belligerent male subject in the emergency room waiting room. The male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
Monday, November 20th
5:51 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on S. Superior Street reporting a gas drive-off of $20. It was unknown if the driver was male or female. The vehicle was a maroon Dodge Caravan the left going westbound on Forrest Avenue. The manager of the business was going to view the security video and get back to officers with any other information.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, November 15th
1:53 PM Officers responded to call from the Langlade County Hwy. Department reporting a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy. 64 and Badger Ranch. The female driver was out of the vehicle and was ok. The vehicle was towed. There was no damage to report.
Thursday, November 16th
12:01 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Field Street. The female driver was arrested on a probation hold. She was also cited for operating without auto insurance, failure to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change and taillights displaying a color other than red. She was transported to jail. While being booked, a corrections officer discovered a baggie of meth hidden in the female subject’s clothing. Additional charges of possession of meth and bringing a controlled substance into a corrections facility were added.
10:25 PM Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person running at Hwy. 64 and Buettner Road. The male subject was headed westbound, running in traffic. The subject was described as wearing a dark gray shirt and wind pants. The caller stated that the subject did not appear drunk, but on some sort of drugs. The caller also told officers that they had almost hit the runner. Officers arrested the male subject on a Langlade County warrant. He told officers that he was just running home from work.
Friday, November 17th
10:17 AM Officers received a call from a male on Fitch Road reporting that two male subjects were just at his residence, asking for the lady of the house. They had a package of Brawny paper towels and said that they wanted to do a carpet demonstration. Once they found out that there was no lady there, they left. The caller found it strange that the subjects did not want to show him the demonstration. The male called back a few minutes later and told officers that his son had gone to check on his brother-in-law’s house at Fitch Road and Cty. Rd. P and the two male subjects were there, looking in the windows. When questioned, they said that they were selling Kirby vacuum cleaners, but they had a Eureka vacuum in their vehicle. They did not have any business cards. They said that they were from Wausau. The two male subjects were last seen heading towards White Lake. Officers checked all the side roads and driveways in the area. The two males were described as Caucasian and in their early 50’s. One male subject had tight curly brown hair with a receding hairline and was about 5’9”. The other male subject was stockier and was missing an upper tooth.
1:43 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at Cty. Rd. B & Hwy. 45, north of Summit Lae. A state report was completed.
9:27 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident on Cty. Rd. K, near Hwy. 45, just north of Elcho. The caller told officers that they thought the vehicle had slid off the road as the roads were very slippery. Two people were getting out of the vehicle. The caller did not believe that anyone was injured. The vehicle was removed. A state report was completed.
Saturday, November 18th
7:14 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Cty. Rd. B reporting that his business had been burglarized the night before. He told officers that when he woke up, he had noticed that the back door and the door to the basement were open. He later noticed that a bucket of money and money pouches were missing. There were footprints outside and some window screens were in the yard. Officers spoke with two males who told officers that they had observed a male subject, approximately 6 to 6’2” tall, standing on the west side of the old brick building at the corner Summit Lake Road and Cty. Rd. B. They said that a silver/gray car was driving east on Summit Lake Road and then stopped where the male subject was standing. The male subject then got into the vehicle and they then turned south on Cty. Road B. The two male witnesses thought that this was odd, so they got into a car and tried to catch up to the other vehicle, but were unable too. The only other information that they could give officers about the vehicle was that it had a loud muffler.
11:58 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Neve Road. Two male subjects were arrested. They did not have any identification. The male driver was cited for operating without a license and having no proof of insurance. The male passenger was booked on possession of drug paraphernalia and open intoxicants.
Sunday, November 19th
5:18 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he and his son came upon a vehicle in the ditch at the corner of Elbow Road and Corner Road. There was no on around, but they told officers that there was blood inside and outside of the vehicle. Officers made contact with the vehicle owner’s wife. She told officers that she had received a text from her husband at about 6:00 PM on 11/18/17 stating that he had shot a buck and was going to stop at the shop. The female told officers that her husband sometimes sleeps there. At 6:30 AM, officers received a call from the wife stating that her husband was at the shop and had a bloody nose. Officers went to the shop address and talked with the male subject, trying to piece together the missing 7 hours of unaccounted time. The male told officers that he did not feel that he needed any medical attention.
Monday, November 20th
11:36 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was just in an accident on Neva Road.
Tuesday, November 21st
8:20 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Cty. Rd. J reporting that a vehicle ran into his ditch and left some junk behind and also did some damage to his lawn. The vehicle was towed.
