Winter Wonderland November 24th-January 2nd 5-11pm Holtwood Campground, 400 Holtwood Way, Oconto. It’s time to take in all things twinkly! Each year the Oconto Holtwood Campground gets turned into a Winter Wonderland with over 150 trees decorated and sponsored by area businesses and organizations. The park is lite nightly from 5-11pm. Christmas in the Park December 2nd 10am Zippel Park, 150 McKenzie Street, Gillett. Celebrate the true magic of Christmas with horse drawn sleigh/wagon rides through Zippel Park. Kids can take part in make & take crafts, face painting, balloon animals, 4-H will be having a cake walk where you can win various treats, enjoy cookies & hot chocolate & enjoy some extra fun activities with the Gillett Library all from 11am-4:30pm at Zippel Park inside the Expo Hall. Santa is arriving by sleigh at noon till 4:30pm at the Expo Hall. Santa will chat with all of the children & listen to their wish lists! Each kid will receive a free goodie bag from Santa. The Gillett High School Choir will be caroling at 4:45pm at Zippel Park in the Expo Center. New for 2018 will be a craft/vendor fair located at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 101 W. Main Street, from 10am to 4:30pm. You’ll find all your favorite gifts just in time for Christmas. Food & refreshments can be bought at both locations (Zippel Park & St. John’s Lutheran Church). The magic continues with the lighting of the park at 5pm, including lighted displays from various businesses & organizations. A fireworks display will follow directly after the lighting of the park. Rhinelander Historical Society Open House December 2nd Noon-4pm Rhinelander Historical Society, 9 S. Pelham St., Rhinelander. The museum will be decorated in early 1900’s Holiday style. Visitors will be treated to live Holiday music performed by local musicians while enjoying decorated Christmas cookies, candy, eggnog and apple cider, all for free. A sleigh will also be parked on the front lawn and available for family photos.

Riverview Annual Tree Lighting Celebration December 2nd 4-8pm Riverview Community Center, 15471 Hwy. 32 (half way between Mountain & Lakewood), Mountain. 30+ lighted trees adopted by local businesses with many of the trees complete with decorations. Inside the community center, the children are welcomed into a wonderland called Santa’s village, where they share their Christmas list with Santa. Enjoy the lights as we make our way down to the Courthouse, where Santa will light the Christmas Wreath to kick off the Christmas season.

Winter Wonderland Wagon Ride Night December 2nd 5-8pm Holtwood Campground, 400 Holtwood Way, Oconto. Join us for a free wagon ride through Winter Wonderland. Take in all things twinkly while you snuggle under a blanket, sip a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy some homemade cookies. The first 50 kids will receive a free gift. There are over 150 lights displays sponsored by area businesses, organizations and families. Enjoy the walk through 40, 8ft trees in the entrance before you board the wagon. Wagon Right Night is FREE but donations (supplies) will be accepted for the Oconto Area Humane Society. Supplies include: dog and cat food, toys, fleece blankets/small rugs, bleach, liquid laundry detergent, fabric softener dryer sheets and towels, etc. ** This year there will be four wagons instead of two so the wait period will be less. ** This event is not handicap accessible, we apologize for the inconvenience.
