Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 12/11/17
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, November 27th
9:25 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her mother was having problems at her apartment on Dorr Street with a male neighbor who was drunk. The male subject was slamming doors and being loud. The female later called reporting that the male subject had walked into her mother’s apartment, just as officers were arriving on the scene. The male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
Wednesday, November 29th
12:16 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident in the parking lot of an area business on Progress Boulevard, where two cars that were backing out struck each other. Minor, property damage only. An accident report was completed.
12:21 PM Officers referred a male student for disorderly conduct for an incident at Antigo High School on 11/28/17
2:29 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a female subject for shoplifting. The female subject was referred for theft and two counts of felony bail jumping.
9:26 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was out walking her dog and she could hear gunshots coming from the south, near 4th Avenue and Superior Street. She told officers that she did not think that they were fireworks. Officers believed that the problem came from a group gathered behind an area business on 5th Avenue. They spoke with several high school students who told them that people were throwing and shooting fireworks at them from the balcony of an apartment on 5th Avenue. Officers were unable to make contact with the apartment occupants. Officers planned to do an extra patrol.
Thursday, November 30th
8:47 AM Officers responded to a call from the owner of a property on Edison Street reporting that windows had been broken out on the north and east sides of the house. He told officers that he thought it had happened the night before. Sometime the night before, a person or persons walked through the alley way and using two beer bottles, smashed out three windows on the north side of the building. The male caller requested an extra patrol.
Friday, December 1st
7:21 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on 6th Avenue reporting that his daughter found a cut off 12 gauge pump shotgun in a duffel bag hanging in a tree. The gun was identified as a Remington 870 12 gauge, that had been cut off. There was no ammunition. The ten year old female found it hidden in some bushes at a vacant residence on their street. Officers checked with area businesses to see if the bag that the gun was in had been purchased there, since the tags were still on the bag. No area business carried that bag.
10:19 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle, while it was parked at an area business on Superior Street. There was minor damage to her vehicle. A report was completed.
2:37 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a male subject, in a four door, maroon Chevy pulled out of an area business on Superior Street, after purchasing what appeared to be a bottle of booze in a brown paper bag. The caller told officers that as the subject pulled out of the parking lot, the driver hit the curb twice. The vehicle headed northbound on Superior Street. The vehicle was missing the front passenger side hubcap and a right rear backup light. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
7:35 PM Officers were out with a male subject on Superior Street. He was arrested for possession of meth, marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:02 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of an underage drinking party on 10th Avenue. A male subject was arrested on a Shawano County warrant. He would also be facing drug related charges, as marijuana was found in his pocket.
Saturday, December 2nd
2:01 AM Officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. The male driver was cited for speed. Two female passengers were cited for underage alcohol.
Sunday, December 3rd
9:50 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Dorr Street. The male driver was cited for operating after suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and was given written warning for speed.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, November 30th
11:51 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. S. A female subject was arrested on a Clark County warrant for failure to pay a fine for speeding. She was transported to Corrections.
4:27 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Cty. Rd. V reporting that when he got home from work, he noticed that trees on his property had been run over. He told officers that he thought someone ran through the stop sign and onto his property. Officers noted that quite a few arbor vitae shrubs had been run over. There were no vehicle parts left behind.
Saturday, December 2nd
5:10 PM Officers responded to several reports of a vehicle southbound in the northbound lane on Hwy. 45 by Cty. Rd. A. The vehicle was still in the wrong lane by Cty. Rd. I and went into the correct lane when it entered Antigo. The driver was a male subject from Waupaca. He admitted to officers that he had been driving on the wrong side of the road. He stated that he hadn’t been in the area in quite a while and he remembered Hwy. 45 as being a 2 lane road. Officers observed an open alcohol container in the center console. The male subject showed no signs of impairment. He refused a preliminary breath test. The male driver was given a ride home by a friend. He was cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
Sunday, December 3rd
3:37 PM Officers responded to a call that was transferred by the Shawano County Sheriff’s office from a male reporting that he was following a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Now Road that was traveling at a high rate of speed. The caller told officers that the vehicle was crossing the centerline and fog line, at times hitting the grass. Officers stopped the vehicle at 8th Avenue and Superior Street. Officers determined that the driver was not intoxicated.
Monday, December 4th
9:06 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her son just struck a deer on Hwy. 64 by Cty. Rd. P. He had several injuries and there were two more passengers with unknown injuries. She told officers that she was headed to the scene. Officers received an update from the female that the accident was actually on Wilson School Road by Cty. Rd. P. One of the passengers was complaining of neck pain. The vehicle was towed. A state report was completed.
3:21 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that someone had just rear-ended her at Hwy. 45 and Parkside Lane. The caller told officers when she went to talk to the female driver of the other vehicle and see if she was ok, the female subject said yes and then took off. The vehicle was described as a black Trailblazer.
Tuesday, December 5th
1:20 PM Officers received information from the White Lake School District requesting that a student be referred for disorderly conduct. An 11th grade male student was referred for disorderly conduct for being disorderly and swearing at a teacher.
