Colleen Michelle Krivoshein, 58
Colleen Michelle Krivoshein, age 58, of Antigo, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She was born on October 20, 1959, in Rhinelander, a daughter of Michael and Judith (Follstad) Black of Elcho. She married Glen Krivoshein Jr. on July 7, 1979, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho.
Colleen graduated from Elcho High School with the class of 1978.
Colleen had a love for music, having taught piano lessons for 38 years, accompanying many students at solo and ensemble competitions, and enjoying musical performances of all kinds.
She was the music director at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo for many years. She also played the organ at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva, Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho and United Church of Christ in Kempster. When she wasn’t devoting her time to music she was assisting her husband as secretary at North Central Mechanical.
Colleen was a member of St. John Catholic Church where she served on many committees. She was also a member of the Langlade Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed volunteering for the Spirits at the Lake Golf Outing.
Colleen enjoyed cooking, golfing, skiing, reading and supporting her students at their sporting events. She cherished time spent with family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, survivors include; three daughters, Meghan Krivoshein of Chicago, IL, Keelyn (Travis) Wallenfang of Green Bay and Katie Krivoshein of Houston, TX; two grandsons, Emmitt and Miles Wallenfang; three sisters, Mary Lynn Russo of Brevard, NC, Amy (Todd) Joerns of Rhinelander and Carrie (Tim) Barnes of Milwaukee; a brother, Mark (Debbie) Black of Kempster; and brother-in-law, Tom Koss of Bryant. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Koss and father and mother-in-law, Glen Sr. and Agnes Krivoshein.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 31, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Rev. Zachary Weber concelebrating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday January 31, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. all at St. John Catholic Church in Hoffmann Hall. A parish wake service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
