Curtis K. Doran, age 89, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Saint Petersburg, FL.
Curtis was born February 29, 1928 to the late Keyth and Esther (Luedtke) Doran in Shawano, WI.
He was united in marriage to Alma “Lucy” Fischer on December 12, 1968 in Fairbanks, AK. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2015.
Curtis was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1946. He served in the US Army for 2 years in both Germany and Japan. He attended University of Wisconsin Extension.
Curtis became a meteorologist and worked for the US Government.
He was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo.
Curtis was an avid cribbage player.
Survivors include a sister Mary Below of Brookfield, WI, and brother, Roger (Kay) Doran of Antigo. He is also survived by 2 nephews, Carl (Mary) Below and Reverend Mark (Barbara) Below, 2 nieces Cheryl (Tim) Blair and Michelle (Chad) Moore and their families.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend Mark Below will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Military honors will follow the service and take place at the Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
