Lee Owen, 68

Lee Owen, of Birnamwood, passed away peacefully with his children at his side on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee. He was 68 years old. He was born on January 8, 1950, in Shawano, a son of John and Vivian (Criscione) Owen.

Lee served his country for four years as a transportation specialist in the United States Army stationed in Germany.

Following military service he began a long career with Local 127 Heat and Frost Workers Union. He worked alongside of his father for many years while in the Union working as an insulator.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #390 in Gresham, Life member of the Viet Nam Veterans of America and a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Washington Lodge #21, Green Bay. Lee was a proud member of the National Rifle Association.

He was very artistic using his talents drawing, building items and creating gifts for family. He enjoyed collecting die cast cars, being outdoors hunting and riding motorcycles. He especially valued time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Jesse Owen, Birnamwood; two daughters, Christine (Terry) Jonet, New Franken, Amber Raboin, Green Bay; a step-son, Scott Raboin of Green Bay; five grandchildren Tara, Amanda, Erica, Mason and Preston; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Heim, Birnamwood, Lois (Patrick) Bruno, Mechanicville, New York; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cynthia Rose Owen.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Internment will take place in the spring with military honors at Mattoon Hutchins Woodlawn Cemetery.
