Preschool Story Time February 21st 10:30-11:15am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for story time at the Antigo Public Library! This is a great way for kids who haven’t started school yet to meet & socialize with peers. Every week we’ll read 2 or 3 books together as well as doing some songs & movement. We also do a simple craft or coloring page that helps kids develop creativity & motor skills, & occasionally (attendance permitting) other activities such as parachute play. This event is geared towards preschoolers, but older or younger kids are welcome to attend as well.

Rotary Uncorked Spring Tasting February 22nd 6-9pm Eagles Club, 1205 Lake St., Merrill. A selection of wine, craft beer and heavy appetizers will be served. 8th Annual River Valley Loop Around the Lake February 24th 5:30-8:30pm. Thirsty Whale, 453 E Park Ave., Minocqua. Annual “River Valley Loop Around the Lake” 5K Ski/Snowshoe on Lake Minocqua begins in front of the Thirsty Whale and continues on an illuminated path toward the Hwy 51 Bridge, then around past the Bearskin Trestles before returning to the starting point. This is to benefit activities and academic development for both Arbor Vitae- Woodruff School and Minocqua J1 Schools. Following the walk, participants will enjoy food and concessions, hot chocolate, music, bonfire, lighting wish lanterns, and hot air balloon rides, on Lake Minocqua near the Thirsty Whale. Participants range in age from 1 to 100. Whether you are and experienced cc skier looking to improve your time or you are a walking family of 5 with children that want to be pulled by sled, you are sure to enjoy yourself. 2nd Annual Ice Bowl Doubles Disc Golf Tournament February 25th Registration begins at 8:30am Antigo Disc Golf Course, Virginia Street Cul-De-Sac, Antigo. First Round: City of Antigo Disc Golf Course. Second Round: Jack Lake Disc Golf Course. Entry fee is $50 and 10 non-perishable food items per team. This gets you a premium Ice Bowl stamped disc & a delicious free hot lunch between rounds to warm you up. Open Skate February 26th 11:30am-1pm Langlade County Hockey Arena, 1633 Neva Road, Antigo. The Antigo Area Youth Hockey Association, in collaboration with the City of Antigo Park & Rec Department, offer FREE open skates throughout the year at the Langlade County Multi-Purpose Building. The Open Skates are FREE with the donation of a canned good. There are a limited supply of skates available for use (these are free, but must be returned at the end of the skate). Thank you to the Antigo Optimists for donating money for the purchase of more skates to be used by those in the community. There is no skate sharpening at the rink during open skate times. Registration is not required to attend Open Skates.
