Doris “Dory” Willis, 83

Doris Willis, “Dory” formerly of Antigo, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was 83 years old. She was born on July 5, 1934, in Antigo, a daughter of Frank and Martha (Kubiak) Stasek. She married Robert Schremp on August 30, 1952, he preceded her in death in June 25, 1970. She married Robert Willis on August 2, 1973, he preceded her in death in May 5, 2006.
She attended St. Hyacinth Grade School and Antigo High School, graduating with the class of 1952.
Dory was a store clerk at McLellan’s Dime Store, JC Penny’s and Montgomery Wards. She was an Avon representative and cooked at Schremp’s Drive In.
She was a member of SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church and the church Rosary Society.
Her hobbies included gardening, canning vegetables, watching the Green Bay Packers and reading the Antigo Daily Journal. She enjoyed polka dancing, playing canasta, going to garage sales, summer outings to Summit Lake, camping at Jack Lake with family and annual winter weekend trips to Butch and Faith Schremp’s cottage.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Kathleen) Schremp, Eau Claire, Larry (Diane) Schremp, Dixon, IL; seven grandchildren Erik (Hayley) Schremp, Kaitlyn (Kendrick) Williams, Kaia Schremp, Kjersti Schremp, Lisa (Jerry) Messier, Grace Thompson and Neil (Kayla) Thompson; six great-grandchildren Noah Schremp, Ella and Kendall Schremp, Mikayla and Kedrick, Jr. Williams, and Abriella Messier; a step-daughter, Stacey Willis and Merci of Osceola; a step-son, Scott Willis, Oregon; two sisters, Marvi Mullins, Rothschild, Norma Winter, Summit Lake; a step-brother Jerry (Linda) Pitts, Raleigh, NC; a step-sister Rosie (Tony) Ziegert, Jumping Branch WV.
In addition to her husbands and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Thompson; step-father Ernest Pitts; a sister, Shirley Henry; a brother, Gil Stasek; two brothers-in-law Richard Winter and Jim Mullins
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday also at the funeral home.
A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
